What is the outer diameter of the plastic piece (not the hole behind it)?

The piece that you see is slightly rubberized and it's about 1/16" shy of 3 3/4". It inserts into the plastic piece that goes in the wall and the outer portion of it is about 3/16th smaller in diameter than the rubberized piece. Of course, the hole is smaller than both of these.

What instrument is used to pass the cables from one end to the next?

I used a washer on the end of a string to drop down from the upper hole and pull the washer out of the bottom hole, then pull the cables down from the hole above.

How do I remove the cover from the grommet? It extremely tight and the grommet lip cracked a bit.

I too found it challenging the first time, then I noticed the nubs holding the inside piece (the flexible cover) and concentrated on making sure I started pushing in at those locations and it slid out easily.

Idéal pour passer proprement ses câbles
