This does work, you just have to use it on dry hair and not wet.I am quite grey and it lasts for about 5-6 washes with a twenty minute set.I am going to try leaving it on for longer to see if lasts a bit longer but even if it doesn't I am happy.The colour is a bit yellowy at first but after the first wash looks really nice. Very good product

Pretty good product, it works well for me as I don't have that much grey hair to cover.It is very easy to use, which I like most about it. It does not tangle my hair, which is another bonus. The colour does not last long, so I have to use it often.I only gave it 4 stars because the colour stains my pillow case a bit.Overall, good product, it is worth trying it!

Decided to try darker blond but it is rarther too gingery for me. Have washed it 6 times in 2 days to try to wash it out! Nice colour but not what I wanted. Will go back one step to medium blonde for me. Easy to use but doesn't lather like it suggests

I wanted this for a root touch up so I'm not spending £7 evertime they need doing.My idea was that I will do my roots every roots couple of months instead of every month and use this inbetween.My hair is balayaged with dark roots. I used half a sachet on my roots through parting, all round the outside, into the sides and through the top and still have half left.As I have grey roots I left on for 45 mins - by the way I put it on dry roots to grip the hair better.It has worked great and given it more volume than my permanant dye does.I bought a few but will definately stock up on these now.If you was going out for the night and throught your roots could do with a touch up, you could literally put this where you need it while getting things ready for the evening and before shower - as it doesnt drip either.Thats my idea to put it on an hour or so before shower - solution sorted and cheaper solution at that.I'm so pleased with it as you cant buy the tube of semi permanant ready mixed anywhere these days.Also why people are saying it doesn't cover grey - it's not a permanent colour, so ?? but if you leave it long enough it will disguise the greys and blend them in.You have to remember this isn't costing ten quid, so I think it is great to use as an CHEAP and WORKABLE money saving coliur - It does work if you use it correctly.

well i ordered this as a quick get me out of jail free card on that i had grey hair patches and ive got a london show night out trip i used this early last week so if anything had gone wrong i could simply 8 wash it out if needed too as i had time though couldnt see anything being wrong as it advitised that it was my natural colour anyway.. well it was very dark dye looked like tar but went with it as i wasnt to know any different followed instructions to the tee. it went dark dark brown!!!! eek!! didnt suit me either so couldnt live with that for you know friends are going to take photos of trip of london!! so i was like ok just do the washing out thing as like it says wash out in 8 washes.. ugh no!!!! i went from brown to light browny pinky orangy colour what the hell my hair is also ruined in the dryness its dead and awful i had to strip it which obviously turned my hair bright orange and after so much agro and stress and trying to fix it im now sporting ginger and my hair dont know if the wrong dye had gone in the wrong packet or what but i spent whole weekend in london mortified as my hair was just shocking and i howled like a baby so do not buy this product!!!

I have almost 100% white hair and prefer semi permanent colours as permanent dyes tend to damage my long hair. Also I Iike to be able to switch colours. I had been using bronde toning drops, which bizarrely turned my hair slightly blue, so I thought I would try this to see if it resolved it. I left it on for the full 45 mins as the 20 strand test looked quite light. The colour is really nice and my hair is swishy, shiny and silky. Just ordered 2 more.

My hair was a non interesting mid brown and for years I used to use a hair colour that lightened and then added a ash shade on top. A lovely dark ash blonde. Loved this colour but now I am getting older, my hair is loosing its colour and I am becoming a very pale blonde (just not right for me). I have tried several of the well known hair colours to try and get my fav colour back but no real success. I just wanted a way of just washing in some colour and now I have found it. Only tried this shampoo once so far but the result was perfect for me. At first I was very shocked at how dark it was and, in fact, I lost my nerve and washed it out after 8 minutes instead of the 20 suggested. Very glad I did this because the colour was so good when it dried. I love it! I have washed my hair 3 times so far since doing it and the colour is still good. I hope this is around for a long time.Additional noteI have just bought three more! My hair has lost even more natural colour now and this shampoo restores it to a lovely colour. I used to add it after a pre wash as instructed, but as I don’t use any sprays etc on my hair to wash out, I now add it to dry hair. This means I can leave it on for a shorter time and still get the same results. Must rinse well though.
