Really good for carving. I am new at carving and probably not qualified to give a review but I'm having a blast carving these blocks. I can't cut deep and clean like the youtube tutorials but at the moment, I blame my novice skills.

Got these to make small mushrooms and gnomes. The wood is consistent, no knots and easy to carve. I would buy again.

Nice pieces just right for model train elevation

Wood appears to be pretty clean. I noticed a few small knots. I cut a piece and it felt pretty good. Should work for small figure carvings. Didn't go 5 stars during to the long shipping time and the knots.

Can’t beat the price for the quantity and quickness of delivery. I tried this brand for the first time to begin my Christmas side gig of selling Christmas Ornaments for the holidays. I’ll say that the majority of the blocks are quality. There are a few in every box that are very Knotty and have stringy grain. If your knives are nice and sharp, and you have some experience you can work with them. I ordered again, and will again after that.

Good quality carving wood. Nice color, very light. Easy to carve on as long as you pay attention to the grain.

Purchased this set for a Boy Scout whittling activity to make the 5-minute owl. The wood is lightweight and soft enough, though sharp tools are key. The pieces in the set were all usable quality, and I am pleased with the value for what they were intended for. Will purchase again when needed.
