All in one best grill!!
Great value of money using charcoal and gas, you safe time as well as a having a flavoured meals. Single mum and less than 5 foot tall, it was very easy to put it together alone in less than 2 hours, with a help of the app they recommend and printed manual that it comes with. Grill arrived on time and in a very sturdy box carefully wrapped all. If you don’t want scratches put a blanket underneath before taking things out. It doesn’t come with the gas level indicator that is in the picture, great help from manufacture help centre when I asked about it too. (Only German Barbecues are equipped with the gas indicator) Space for gas canister underneath doesn’t allowed you big bottles (perfect for 5Kg in the UK) Cooking crate rests straight on the fire box with time might scratch it (I’ll give updates in a few more uses) Crates are cast iron strong and heavy, our chicken didn’t stick on it. Recommend to find a charcoal that burns slow as the gas level in minimum still very strong to burn charcoal fast, if you used briquettes don’t put to many and don’t wait to much for it to burn as you might have ashes quicker than you think. Easy to move around and not heavy and not noisy, as soon as it cool it’s easy to clean. It’s great for my family (mum and three kids) Not to big, not to small, less hustle to get the charcoal starts.

A perfect 2-
Sturdy and perfect gas and charcoal combo. Even possible to light charcoal if you wish. Installation can be tricky - suggest downloading the Char Broil app with step by step photo instructions to make life easier.

Well made value dual fuel BBQ
Bought this on 'offer' which made it a great price! Quickly delivered in a large very strong box (heavy too) with all parts well wrapped and protected by bubble bags and polystyrene - took a couple of weeks of wheely bins (green) to get rid of it all. ALL the bits were there and all the steel BBQ in A1 indamaged condition. The instructions are a series of pictures but fairly logical. Spend some time identifying what's what and then took an easy 2.5 hrs to do the build. Tip, just loosly tighten the build until all the frame is together before tightening up fully! Only help needed was to lift the central burner unit into place. The end result is a good sized, very solid BBQ that's streets ahead of my previous £100 charcoal one (simple 10 year old dual barrel now rusting badly). Tested with gas and all works, just need my first excuse to give it a proper run on both gas and charcoal. Can't fault the BBQ so far and building was easier than I'd expected. It's also a beast and only the 3 burner version. Photo's after the main building before the side shelves were completed - couple of hrs to this point

Nice BBQ
I opted for the BBQ to be built on delivery so cannot comment how it is to build. Two men built it in just less than a couple of hours. Looks amazing and very sturdy. I did take time to look at the assembly book, it didn't look very clear to me. Having looked at many Char-Broil YouTube videos, I was trying to find out if you need to remove the 3 silver gas covers before you place in the coal tray. I've seen videos that have them remain inside whilst I've seen others which have them removed first. The book suggests they should be removed, again its not clear. I decided to leave them in because they protect the gas burners and I want to keep it as clean as possible, this method worked fine, placed a flat layer of coal and lit the gas, it was really hot and smokey in less than a few minutes, turned the gas off and started to cook the food. Please could somebody kindly reply if you know if the silver gas plates should be removed when using the coal tray. Thanks in advance. The heat seemed evenly spread, I made use of all the BBQ cooking space, all the food was cooked exactly the same so no cool spots, it tasted lovely, smokey and the smell was amazing. Behind the BBQ there's a sign that states not to store your gas bottle on the shelf under the BBQ. I have a big bottle that won't fit anyway, would be nice to have it out of the way but that's no big deal. Easy to wheel to my garage at the end of summer. The Char-Broil protective cover for this model is a bit expensive, but probably worth getting it to save the elements ruining the BBQ. We also used it without the coal tray just using just gas and we regret it, food was still cooked even and tasted amazing, Its very awkward to clean the base. It does a good job of draining the grease into a grease cup, there's no getting away from the thick burnt oil that burns onto your base. I would therefore recommend always using the coal tray if you like to keep it clean. Overal I'm happy with my BBQ, food tastes lovely and very easy to get going. If I could change anything, it would be much better to have a base tray that you can slide out periodically to make cleaning easier. Great BBQ all the same for the price, looks nice and would recommend. Note this version did not come with the bottle opener I've seen on other 3 burner models.

Game Changer
Absolutely fantastic BBQ. Arrived very well packaged and in excellent condition. The standard and quality of the BBQ is second to none. It took me a while to assemble but I followed the instructions to the letter and everything turned out just fine. I give this BBQ 10 out of 10. Hybrid, started on gas then cooked on charcoal, an absolute Game Changer.

Good looking BBQ
Dumped on the doorstep by the delivery guys as usual, no knock at the door or code asked for! Was a bit worried as the box had been battered a bit but all contents were there and not damaged. Took about 3 hours to unpack, assemble and get rid of rubbish by myself and was fairly easy. Looks great and a quality built bit of kit. Looking forward to using it!

Sturdy but difficult to clean
Takes a couple of hours to build as people have mentioned, build quality is far superior than my previous gas BBQ but that should be expected as it was double the price. The hybrid thing seems to work quite well, I've done 3 coal cooks on it all have gone well, there is no air flow control like a weber when using coal so temp control is limited to opening and shutting the lid. Cooking on gas also seems to work fine, very good temp control, cleaning is a bit of a problem as the bottom of the BBQ bit is not removable, my old BBQ the whole under side beneath the burners slid out and could be scraped clean quite easily, the Coal 2 gas requires you to remove all the grill, heat shields etc to get and clean it. (Unfortunately, it does say in the small print that this BBQ is not designed to be cleaned by turning it on full and burning excessive off, I hadn’t seen this bit, this technique worked fine on my old barby for years.) The grill rack itself is very sturdy cast iron, but things do seem to stick to it quite easily. Overall would I buy again, the jury’s still out…
