Well packaged and worked out of the box
I bought this as a second enclosure as for some reason ny ssd stopped working, it turned out the first enclosure I bought (not this one) had gone faulty. I put this one together and after a quick test to find out my ssd was still OK, I fitted the heat sink and started copying across. Transfer speeds are ok, I tested a 20 gb video file and it took about 16 to 18 minutes, not too bad and was stable at least. No hints at disconnecting or erroring. When inused without the heat sink the enclosure felt quite warm, after i fitted the heat sink it ran cooler, proving that thay works. The feel of the drive is not premium but it still feels OK and is nicely designed. A little longer than some on the market but this I cam deal with as its still much smaller than having an external 2.5 inch in your accessory bag. Overall, a nice little reliable (I hope) enclosure, good for a budget and easy to install.

NVME Caddy
Easy to assemble and use. USB C to USB 3.0 cable. Works well and good value for money. Has a heatsink you can apply to the NVME drive and it is simple to use.

NVME stays cool under pressure, fast transfer.
Having purchased a main brand enclosure that had unsteady transfer rates and allowed the NVME to reach 55 degrees I was beginning to think the problem lay with my system. Decided to take a punt and buy an enclosure that included a heat sink. Both problems completely solved. I've never seen such consistent transfer rates, EVER. Copying 450GB was flawless with an impressive transfer rate of 436MB/s (or 3.49 Gb/s) which was exactly what I expected. I was connected through a USB hub using a USBC to USB 3.0 connection, I have not tried the native USBC to USBC but expect that to be much faster. Even on a hot day, temps never got above 48C (just towards the end of the transfer). In my opinion (and if this keeps performing well), then this appears to be very good bang for your buck. Installation was easy, just make sure to use the thermal pad and heat sink. Based on my experience, I would recommend this to my friends, but not to my enemies :-)

Good value & does the job
I needed an NVMe adapter like this to transfer my OS to a new drive. This one was good value and I've bought from the orico brand before and was satisfied. I like the tool-less installation, as I was upgrading a couple of PCs at the same time - really fast to swap in a new SSD (and for the purpose of cloning a drive, you don't need to put the outer cover on). Transfer speeds were very fast, but I didn't measure them directly. It doesn't feel like a 'very high quality' product when fully assembled, but it feels good enough, and isn't going to pop open or get damaged if thrown in a bag. It clips together and the aluminium chassis seems solid. Considering the price (~£13.15 when I bought it) I would consider it a great purchase!

Ruined My 1TB Hard Drive - Mac Users Please Read
RUINED my Crucial P3 1TB SSD with my entire Logic Pro X instrument installation (70+GB) & a separate backup partition for my Mac min M4. FUMING is not the word!! This worked fine for a few weeks then kept having random connection losses. It finally died (along with the 1TB m.2 SSD) early Jan.2026 - whilst I was recording a new song in Logic Pro X. First, the drive was 'ejected' & seconds later, my entire Mac mini M4 froze (nothing worked to 'un-freeze' the Mac). Apparently, it's the REALTEK controller at fault - well-known for failures in Mac systems (please Google it, I knew nothing about this up until this failure). AVOID if you intend using this with a Mac system. So now I have to save up for a new 1TB SSD for a recent new hub I've also had to purchase - despite needing to buy hearing eqpt. for my partial deafness!!! (I'll be mentioning this on my YT channel - add a Paypal to help me I think).

Updated - Doesn't work as advertised
I'm using Easeus Disk Copy software to copy my existing 1TB SSD to a 2TB SSD using this enclosure. But the speed is extremely poor and doesn't go above 37MB/s. The USB C cable is plugged in USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port that support data transfer, Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.2. The port is definitely at least 10Gbps. I have previously used an external 1TB SSD using USB-C to SATA - that always hit close to 6Gbps (SATA 3 limit). So it is not my port or computer issue. Edit - I am updating review as it started working at around 400MB after a few tries. I still didn't get the full 10Gbps (with protocol overheads etc. I was expecting close to 800-900), so its still less than 50% of the advertised speed. And yes I used the supplied cables and also other upto 240w USB-C cables. If the it was advertised as 5-6Gbps then I would have given 5 stars.

Just what I needed.
I bought this so I could add a 2tb nvme drive to my usb 3 hub. It works perfectly and I have a nice, extra 2tb of storage for photos and games. Well worth thinking about if your nvme slots are full on your motherboard. it's quick and very easy and is still MILES faster than a hard disk :)

İçine hızlı bir Samsung M2 SSD koydum. Üstelik Cash belleği sistemden almayan, kendi üzerinde olandan. Buna rağmen hız testinde 400 MBı aşamadı. Gerçekten 10 GB olsaydı en az 800 MB hızlara ulaşması gerekirdi. Yaptığım testlere göre 5 GB hız veriyor ancak. *Edit: Kendi kablosuyla bilgisayara direkt bağlayınca 900 MB civarında hız alabildim.

This is solid product for large NVMe Drives that get hot quickly, the aluminum case dissipates heat quickly. it is clean looking and value for money, it has all the parts required to install the drive. I have a Gen3 Nvme 2TB drive that runs hot. it is very fast and compatible with Android phones that support OTG drives, it will be seen as a RealTek device on android phone
