This fridge/freezer thermometer does exactly what it’s supposed to. The stainless steel body feels strong and durable, and it handles the cold and moisture with no problem. The display is big and easy to read, which makes it quick to check the temperature at a glance.It covers a good temperature range and helps me make sure my food is stored safely. I also like that you can hang it or just place it on a shelf — it fits nicely without getting in the way. Great little tool to have for peace of mind in the kitchen!

I purchased this during the summer when we had a rare heatwave in the UK. The items in our fridge didn't seem to be as cold as what they should be but the fridge had no thermometer so we really had no idea what the temperature was. This really helped identify that our fridge was running too warm and needed turning down considerably to get it within the 'safe' zone.It seems to be pretty well made and has a nice finish. It can be hung from a shelf or adjusted so it stands up on its base. The base is a little bit fiddly but once it's set you can don't have to adjust it. It was much larger than I was expecting but it lives at the back of the fridge so it's not too much of an issue. If you were hanging it from a shelf it may get in a way and could easily be knocked off.Pros:- Made by Salter so has a nice finish and feels well made- Temperature reading is accurate and have backed this up with another thermometer since puchasing- 2 year warrantyCons:- Base is a little bit fiddly- It is quite large so lives near the back of my fridge.

Works great after we replaced the thermostat on the old oven and found it was offset by about 30°C. Obviously not checked calibration but when the temperature is set to be right by this device the food now comes out properly cooked rather than cremated so I assume it's accurate.Big dial, survived a few drops. Happy.

Working just fine in my large fridge, and in my portable fridge when I take it with me to hotel breaks, quality brand, and reliable.

These thermometers are great! I can personally vouch for their effectiveness. I purchased them after getting a Bosch fridge freezer with a manual temperature dial, and they’ve been incredibly helpful. By placing one in the fridge and another in the freezer, I was able to fine-tune the settings through trial and error to achieve the optimal temperatures. The built-in blue indicator section is especially useful, as it clearly shows the recommended temperature range for both the fridge and freezer. So far, so good. I've been using them for a month, and they’ve been reliable!

I decided to get this Salter brand thermometer instead of a cheaper 'unknown brand' model because you'd hope it would be more trustworthy, coming from Salter. It seems accurate enough and it needs to be because it's food safety that's at stake here. I need to know if my fridge or freezer is malfunctioning. I can't do any scientific tests but the readings are just what I would expect so far.The dial is very clear and it's marked for fridge and freezer (down to minus 30 Celsius).The only thing I don't like is that the little stand-cum-hook is very fiddly and hard to set in a position where it doesn't fall over. It's better if you hang it from the hook but the slats in my freezer run front to back so the thermometer faces sideways when hung and isn't so easy to read.So that could be better but overall I like this all-metal thermometer from a well-known brand, and being fully analogue it never needs batteries.

Good quality just what I would expect from such a good name. The hangar is movable around the thermometer making it a good fit on the shelf. It is a little more expensive than the digital ones you can buy but is I think worth the extra money. Unfortunately, it proved what I had been thinking that the my fridge was not holding its temperature so have to now buy a new fridge!!! It can recommend this item.

I bought this having read that during this cost of living crisis I could save a few quid by lowering the temperature of my Servis Fridge/Freezer.The thermometer seems of sound construction with a hook/stand hybrid attached to the rear. The face is large and clear to read the temperature from.In operation it is simple you just leave it in the fridge or in my case freezer.Having been inside my freezer for a few days now I am uncertain as to how accurate it is. The first reading was -23 which I thought was a little too cold so I decided to adjust the fridge setting to lower it slightly.The next day upon checking the thermometer I found it had dropped down to around -12 which is below the recommended -18. I adjusted the fridge setting once more.Today I checked and it is reading -23 again. Due to the minuscule adjustments I have made I'm uncertain if there is a vast temperature change within my adjustments of the freezer or that this thermometer is inaccurate.
