This is definitely a sturdy unit, metal case with rubber slip cover. Some assembly required and some extra hardware is included in case you drop some of the tiny screws.

Poor design. You have to put screws through rubber to attach the clip to the cover. It was impossible after over a hour of trying I returned it.

I bought this because I'm prone to snapping my key fobs, because of ford's poor design on the fob.I love that it is a solid metal outside to hold it all together.

My key fob was starting to separate. Replacement is over $200 if dealer does it. However, this cover has been nothing but perfect.
