I purchased a CD slot car magnet holder for my phone several months ago. While the magnet works great and is extremely strong, the slot holder was a piece of junk. it slid back and forth in the slot and I was constantly pulling it out because of the strength of the magnet. No matter how tightly I set it it was always slipping out and then the rubber padding stripped off and after that it was essentially useless. I was looking for a new holder when I came across this replacement part. The reviews were positive and the size was definitely bigger. So I went ahead and bought this one to try as I could remove the magnet from the other one and put it on this one. The magnet fit and it fits great into my CD slot! It wide enough to fill the slot so it doesn't slide around at all and because of its bigger size the tabs fit into the slot deeper giving it a much better sturdier grip. My phone sags a little when I have it set on it but that's because my phone is on the heavier side and so is the magnet itself. I'm very happy with this purchase and would purchase more as replacements when needed.

Inexpensive and solid.

ALthough advertised to work with my brand of car monitor, it did not fit as apparentky one also needs an additional adapter.

Easy to install, and technically works. Wish the mechanism that tightens against the slot had either rubber or silicone to brace it. Requires you to tighten it a lot to make it secure. Hopefully won't cause damage over time.

I had to install the bracket with the wing not upside, instead of concealed on the underside. But, it's OK because the wing nut is hidden behind my phone when I'm using it. Otherwise it works as expected. If you have loose or additional panels added (like burlewood or whatever aftermarket additions you may have added) you may issues with control buttons sticking. For example, when I tap the a/c button up, that specific button, just below the bracket (where the tension is highest) usually gets stuck depressed. I have to push above the button on the panel to loose the up button back to normal. But it's not overly problematic. If you loosen the bracket until it stops happening it might be OK. But you'll run the risk of the bracket being too loose and dislodged. Other than that, it works well.

Useful item for a phone holder to free up your traditional air vent holders that block the air flow, especially when it's summer time and you need to feel that cooling A/C on you and not freezing your phone. Works well, easy to install. You lose the CD player but these days, who uses CD's anymore so that's fine. Sits in the CD slot nice and snug and hold the phone firmly over all the bumps. I recommend it if you're on the fence about it.
