I ordered this 500g package by only a 150g one arrived. I queried it and all was resolved, but it looks as though the description doesn't match the item here. Apparently it should actually be a 150g package! I wouldn't pay any more than £2 for a 150g packet, so the £5 price tag for a 500g is in line with expectation. Notwithstanding this anomaly, the product is great for making soups and gravy and is a "Delia" staple, as well as making a nice savoury hot drink all on its own. It is a little high in salt but I don't need to watch the intake personally, but if you do, ther are low salt and vegan and organic options available, albeit with a slightly different taste.

I use it mainly in soup & have been using it for years It is also great in stews …. Though I prefer the low salt vegan version as I can get more of it without increasing salt content & a stronger tastier result

Use it to make stock, this batch lacked in flavour but generally it works well

Product is good as advertised however it is a bit expensive and doesn't go very far for the cost wish I could get this in our big box grocery stores

I thought it as a larger amount. The size I received will not last me 2 months. no returns , so I bought some miso , much, much cheaper !!
