Good As Gold!
I couldn't Believe some of the reviews here! 'Oh, I had to chisel out proper corners.' It This. It That. Good god! It's a nice little box to put ye stone in. It keeps the dust off the oil. What more do ye want? Stain it. Varnish it. Put little brass hinges on it. Meticulously craft little end blocks, to fit in either end so ye particular stone fits in with a well oiled whisper of displaced air?! I dunno. I actually, deliberately, went and had a very focused look at my one, the other day. Just to prepare for this review. Had it five weeks now. Day I got it, I absolutely Drenched my equally brand new stone in Baby Oil I'd bought for the express purpose (Honestly, guvvner!) I wanted to see what had happened. Nothing, as it happens. Stone itself accepted a Tiny drop more oil. But, yeah, the box Wasn't all stained and oily, as I'd wondered if it might have been. So, Yes; I've Not been flogging it, day in, day out. I only posses one chisel. Had it for years and decided, just for fun, to get the kit together to try sharpening it a bit. Chisel's now sharper. Box is cute. I'm perfectly happy. If this little thing offends ye in some way? For a Tenner?! Stop sulking. Get ye yellow and black tools out and skilfully craft one that suits ye. There we go. Obligatory photo. Cos Amazon likes our photo's ;)

Well made box but poor fit for standard 8x2 inch stones
Well constructed box and well finished. Only issue is the space that the stone sits into is too long for any of the 8x2 inch stones I have. Also, the corners are rounded and every stone ever made has angular 90" corners. It may have been cheaper to round them but it is a poor finish for an otherwise fine product. The boxes are not sealed against oil stains so you will need to seal them before use.

Oilstone Box
Best thing about the Faithfull Oilstone Box is that it enables me to sharpen my kitchen knife and hatchet more safely. A well made box, it also makes storing the oilstone more easy and without mess.

Ordered two - Only one was right.
I ordered two of these. They arrived on time and were well packed. However they were different, one was fine - in a nice box, and the right size. The other was much smaller and was on one of those clear plastic hangers that had been stapled directly to the box. Also it was too small for my oil stone. Very disappointing, but because the item is so cheap, I'll put it down to experience. The other box was well made and the oil stone fitted nicely.

Watch out for corners
Very well machined box. It's a pity the manufacturer doesn't talk to the manufacturer of the oil stone and decide who needs to change their designe. Square corners on stone v round corners on box I.e stone will not fit in box. Had to chisel the box to square corners. Frustrating.
