Why don't these have a full five stars?
These arrived 2NOV25. At 22:30, I hung ten of them over my infested area, which I inadvertently caused, in hopes to mitigate the infestation. Today, 3NOV25, I went to check on them at 14:00 to see if they were working. This is a time lapse of roughly 16 hours. As you can see in the photos, I have killed well over 1,000 gnats and flies living in the decomposing Timothy hay I'm using to prep my garden. Don't worry, I'm not going to add soil or even mix it after it's ready (for you garden trolls). I just completed hanging the other ten since they're are twenty in the box. Flies were landing on them as I was hanging them. For best results: things I've learned in the past sixteen hours. 1. Do not hang at night. The rolls were cold because of the outside temperature, and this made the glue stiff and the rolls hard to extract and unwind. One of them even tore in half because it was cold and stiff to unwind, but as you can see in the pictures, it still works fine. 2. Let the rolls sit in the sun for four or five hours before you open them. The glue loosens, allowing them to open and unwind easily and WITHOUT TEARING. 3. Though they curl up when you first hang them, they unwind on their own during the day, allowing a greater killing area. 4. The ones I hung closer to the source of the infestation, in my case, the ground, the higher quantity of kills the ribbons made. 5. Anyone posting less than 5 stars for this very inexpensive solution to fly control for any reason at all, did not install them correctly, or is whining about the shipping, which is immaterial to the product and its use. 6. DO NOT scratch off and scan the QR code on the card. It has nothing to do with using this, and it's only some poorly misspelled marketing garbage from the Chinese company that produced them. 7. In the past hour since I hung the last ten lower to where they are, I just noticed a few hundred already stuck. 8. Do not worry about them getting wet. When I installed them last night, I did my nightly watering of the hay to accelerate decomposition, which is both working well and causing the fly/gnats problem. They all got wet, but as you can see, it did not affect their potency or use. 9. Order two boxes the first time so you don't have to wait two more days for more, like I'm doing now. I hope all this helps. At $9.00, this is the best, cost-effective way to delete these pests. This isn't a long-term solution, though. You will need to mitigate the cause of the fly infestation to totally solve your problem.

A little too short for what I need.
They do catch flies. I wish they were longer. The flies i have don't fly high enough to get caught most of the time.

Catches flies but rips
The paper is very thin and rips as you stretch it out. It otherwise works well.

What happen top quality?
I've been using various adhesive fly strips throughout our Pomeranian Kennel for the past 12 years. The company I was buying them from no longer offers them. So, I decided to go with this company. I bought one box of 20 to see how they performed. Out of the box of 20, I had around 7 to tear, the string to hand them from the ceiling pulled out even before I could get the paper pulled out, or the paper pulled out of the cylinder they were put in. Well, I thought to myself that 7 of 20 isn't too bad. Boy was I wrong. I bought three boxes of 20. THE FIRST 13 I TRIED TO INSTALL EITHER THE PAPER RIPPED IN THE MIDDLE, THE PAPER RIPPED AT THE BEGINNING, THE PAPER PULLED OUT OF THE CYLINDER, OR THE STRING PULLED OUT. 13 OF 20 FAILED. Over the past 12 years, I have used hundreds of these. I have a very sensitive and smooth way to pull the paper out with great success. NOT WITH THESE. My method failed in first 13 I tried to install. Don't get me wrong, these strips work great in controlling flies and gnats. NOT THESE. Hell, I couldn't even get the first 13 out of the cylinder without a total failure. I even dropped on on a Pomeranian and it was a nightmare getting the sticky crap out of her fur. I had to wash that area about four times to get the stick crap out of her fur.

These are a really good way to get annoying gnats out of your house! They literally stick to it like glue! Haha
