Assuming the adult male was not overweight or obese, and the swivel chair was in good working order, I see no reason why it shouldn,t.

I don't have a tree with pine needles, but I do have bamboo and it picks up the dead leaves and branches without any problems. Hope this reply helps.

Does this get blocked easily sucking twigs with leaves like other blowers?

I’ve had no problems up to now with twigs and leaves . But in the past with previous Flymo vacs I have had blockages, so I know what you mean.
