3 Lever Lock Try Out Keys (19 Piece Set)

There were no instructions and my initial attempts at picking a lock were fruitless. Then I bought a 3 lever lock, took it apart and saw where to position the try out keys. You need to insert each key with the teeth downwards then jiggle the teeth to either the 10pm or 2am position depending on if you are locking or unlocking. Then pull the key slightly towards you and also lift it up a bit (this pushes the levers up). Then turn the key so that it passes through the 12 o'clock position. The second key I tried unlocked the door that I was having a problem with. Worth every penny.

A cheap and cheerful set of stamped metal tryout keys for 3 lever mortise locks. They could do with a nicer finish but they work. Nine out of the nineteen keys opened my 3 lever Yale in seconds, which was a bit of an eye opener!

Like many other reviewers I was faced with locked shed door but no key (key had broken and spare long since lost). Bought this set as a last resort. First, if like me you're a novice, check YouTube for an illustration of the inner workings of three lever locks. You'll still need time and patience but at least you'll be in with a chance. Second, the set is easier to use of you take the 'keys' off the ring. Third, if you know the shape of the old key try to identify the shapes most like it. If not you'll have to work through 'till you have a small selection of the ones that feel to be moving the levers inside the lock. Fourth, keep trying, using gentle persuasion and feel rather than brute force and with luck you'll unlock the door before it gets dark, starts to rain or hypothermia sets in. The set does work but you need to develop a knack.

Not been able to successfully unlock my problem lock so far . I think thats me tho . Bit harsh on the hands and didnt recieve catalogue as advertised

Pretty useless. I tried it on a few doors and not a single one worked or came close.They bend easily and feel like they would snap of any pressure was bought to bear on them

Strict my own view, as I never done lock picking before I found the item a waste of money, energy and resources. Due to this, poor quality products should become illegal as they are harmful to the environment.I disposed them appropriately for recycling.If the item is not intended for non-initiated this point should have been mentioned in the product description. No instructions come with the item either.
