Vogue - Fragrance for Women - 55ml Parfum de Toilette, made by Milton-Lloyd

I thought I knew exactly what to write for Vogue, but it has changed the more I think about it! My precious bottle of Chanel No 5 parfum is running somewhat low and, no longer being in a position to replace it, I thought a smell-a-like would make a useful top up. The more I read about Milton Lloyd perfumes, the more I thought I would have nothing to lose, and I'm pleased to say that so far none of the ones I have bought have been a disappointment. When I first sprayed Vogue (being careful not to overdo it as Milton Lloyd atomisers are renowned for their power!), I thought this was going to be my first disappointment. I wasn't expecting an exact copy by any means, but this smelt cheap and almost like it had gone off, it was verging on being sour. I resisted the urge to rush to the bathroom to wash it off because I know from experience that first impressions of a perfume are not necessarily the best ones and might not reflect what is to come... I'm pleased to say that it managed to redeem itself! As it died down over about 20 minutes a much smoother smell began to surface, the lovely powdery type scent that I relate to Chanel No 5. My nose has never considered No 5 to be floral, infact I can honestly say that I have never been able to pick out any particular smell, just one lovely overall scent. This is how Vogue became for me, just one lovely, delicious overall scent, sort of powdery, even very vaguely soapy, but very like the perfume I wanted a dupe of. It smelt expensive and I'm not ashamed to say that if anyone were to ask me what it was, I would risk getting a nose like Pinnochio to say it was the real thing! A couple of hours on and Vogue is still doing well. It has completely dried down and carries a faintly sweet, rosey smell that I have never had from the original, but it is still has that overall scent that I love. This one definitely has staying power on me. Will I buy it again? Yes, without a doubt. It is a lovely, classy perfume in its own right, and the smell belies the more than reasonable price tag. The fact that it is extremely similar to my beloved Chanel No 5 is the cream on the cake, and I recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive replacement or who has never tried the original and would like to without spending a small fortune.

Lovely smell. Similar to CK1. Great for the budget. I recommend it.

It smells absolutely amazing and even the smells stays over long period of time I am actually sweat alot so I am looking for perfume that lasts long I have owned more costliest perfume but this one is amazing I even got my second bottle

Definitely a strong musky scent, a little too bitter and heavy for me but still nice enough.

This wasn't really the smell I was looking for. I was looking for something that smelt like Jasmin, and this does not smell like that at all. It reminds me of a Laimont perfume I used to have. However, lots of people commented on the nice smell when I was wearing it, and it's one of those perfumes that you can smell it on yourself. The scent of it lasts a long time when you are wearing it. It's not bad for an inexpensive perfume

Beautiful fragrance very similar to Chanel No.5 at a fraction of the cost. This is a cheapest I have found. Highly recommend would definitely buy again

This perfume is absolutely disgusting. 🤮 I used 1 small spray to test it & now wish I hadn't. It smells cheap & nasty, it's not for me. It actually reminds me of an old woman who used to wear a horrible perfume & every time I met her I held my breath or breathed through my mouth. 🤢

This smells exactly like Chanel no 5 to my nose! Yes it smells old womanly..the rich type you walk past and they leave a halo of aroma behind them. Almost like expensive makeup smelling Yes it smells very 70s/80s Yes it smells musky Yes it is VERY strong and lingers for hours But to me, Chanel #5 is all those things too. And for a fiver, I don’t believe you will find a better dupe!!!

Smells exactly like Chanel nr 5, I wouldn’t say it’s a dupe but the same one exactly. One spray is enough because it’s strong

The worst smell ever. Do not buy this product I have to put in the garbage. It is so bad.
