Maybelline Baby Lips Winter Lip Balm Chai Latte 19g

This colour shows as a more brightly toned purple-burgundy colour on my lips, goes on well with or without a primer, and definitely provides some good moisture.It's not the most hydrating lip balm out there, or even the most hydrating Baby Lips balm, but the colour is one of the best in the Baby Lips line altogether and is a lovely colour for most skin tones.Looks the best with:Pale Skin: Reddish brown or green eyeshadow, green or blue eyes, brown or red hairMedium Skin: Dark brown or black eyeshadow with cream colour brow bone highlight, light brown or hazel eyes, blonde or light brown hairDark Skin: Dark blue eyeshadow, dark brown or black eyes, subtle sierra brown blusherThis is a fun winter palette lip balm, can be applied as part of a night look without being out of place or too bright, and blends well with more neutral or brown lipsticks to create a nice moisturising colour blend.The pigment lasts a good long while, although fades to a brighter tone over time, so re-apply semi-regularly if you wish to retain the darker purple-ish tone you will get after a fresh application.Personal rating: 10/10.Even though it's a little too bright on me, it's a vibe and it looks just fine (although I'm definitely probably too old for such bright colours, I am also old enough not to care), and honestly it keeps my lips hydrated which is the whole reason why I bought it, so I can't deduct any points from this product just because I'm so white I might as well be translucent.It's not Maybelline's fault that my skin is roughly the same colour of the underbelly of an iguana, and it's just hard to match lip colours to that; It's like trying to find a good lip colour for Abe Sapien. You know, the fish guy from Hellboy.The pigment in this lasts a surprisingly long time, and I'll keep wearing it for that and the moisture factor. It's good stuff!

Nice lip balm but with weird smell

Lovely moisturising tinted balm. Pretty apple red tint.

For a lip balm it’s super pigmented. It’s a true red, perfect for a bold look but I’d take some off with tissue for a healthy natural red. I like my lip balms versatile, it’s my go-to as it’s an instant complexion fix for when I look tired. *Poof!*The chai latte has a sweet herb scent, if you like that sort of thing. I love milk teas so the idea of a tea flavored balm just appealed to me so much. But honestly, the strong scent was odd at first but you smell it mostly just during application, so it’s fine.Lastly, the packaging is just adorable! Love the colors!Minor downside: The lip balm transfers and it got onto my fabric mask (corona drama) but that’s just me not thinking.

Adds a soft wash of light pink to your lips. Such a smooth formula, way better than burts bees tinted balms which are so sticky and waxy in comparison!

Leaves lips soft and moisturised, slightly glossy with a lovely translucent colour. Can be applied frequently to remoisturise without colour build up. Amazing results for such a cheap product. I have half a dozen in various handbags and around the house.
