These 1.6mm tips write a lot smoother than finer tips. They are a pleasure to use and last ages as they contain thicker ink. Don't forget to remove the wax tip seal on each pen with your finger nail before use or they will not work.

Good pen

I love the line thickness on these pens. They are a solid black and smooth to use.

Good value when compared to other packs of the same sized pens. I'm not being paid for this review, I bought the pens maybe a month or so ago. I bought them after by chance a delivery driver had a thicker pen, not these, but similar, and I used their pen to fill out some paperwork. I needed good pens that I could use every day for work, that I didn't mind too much about if they went missing occasionally (nice pens at work tend to go missing if you leave them lying around). The pens are, relatively speaking, a joy to write with. Because it's a thicker end the pen sort-of glides over the paper and takes less effort to use. I use them all the time at work and anyone (be that friends/ family or at work colleagues/ managers/ delivery drivers) I give a pen to, either steals it and/or comments without me asking them to about how nice it is to write with. If you appreciate nice pens but need one for everyday use, don't be put off by the price, it is good value for money, rather than cheap. The only criticism I can think of is that because you use a bit more ink than you would with other pens, you will need to replace them more often. This isn't the fault of this product or the manufacturer though, just the pen size in principle, and when you've got 50 that shouldn't be a problem.

They are good for people who are heavy handed when it comes to writing due to the wider nib. They write smoothly but do sometimes not evenly distribute ink. I have found that they make handwriting appear neater as well as they are wider than the average pen

Excellent product

I do a lot of handwriting and was a writer by profession until I retired due to illhealth. So I write every day and go through masses of pens! I was using Zebra but got fed up of these running out so fast and the ink was often faint and scratchy. But these are the perfect pen! Nice dark ink that flows well so it makes my handwriting more legible! They are a joy to use. The only irritation is the little cap on the nib you have to remove. They say "large" but they seem to be just a normal size pen to me! I think very good value for 50!

Love these larger nib sized BIC pens, have used them for years. After getting fed up with the hassle of trying to use fountain pens for everyday life I switched to the 1.6mm BIC's as they flow so smoothly, almost like a fountain pen (maybe better) they are miles ahead of the original BIC pens and handwriting looks less scratchy and spidery and writing is clearly more visible. Just be aware that as the ink flows so much more easily they don't last as long compared to the original pens, but hey if you can get them for around £12 for a box of 50 then I think that's a good deal.

I bought it bcz it was on sale and needed to re-stock my black pens. The package indicates that it is a box of 50 items and ended up with 47 pens that were sticky and seemed to be manually placed in the box that was also in bad shape and a bit ripped.

Die BIC Cristal Large Kugelschreiber in schwarz sind meine Lieblingsstifte. Sie gleiten über das Papier, kein Kratzen, das Schreiben ist sehr angenehm. Obwohl der Stift selber sehr dünn ist, kann man auch länger damit schreiben, ohne, dass es anstrengend wird. Das Schriftbild ist bei mir schöner als bei dünneren Minen. Die Tinte trocknet schnell, deckt sehr gut und hat ein sattes schwarz. Einziger kleiner Nachteil ist, dass die Stifte etwas viel Tinte auf das Papier abgeben, wenn sie ganz neu benutzt werden, das legt sich aber nach kurzer Zeit. Die Tinte bleibt nicht an der Spitze des Stiftes haften, somit gibt es keine Klekserei. Durch die hohe Stückzahl und den geringen Preis ist es auch nicht schlimm, wenn man mal einen verliert oder nicht zurück bekommt. Mir reicht der 50er Pack jetzt seit über einem Jahr. Kein einziger Stift ist in der Zeit eingetrocknet oder war sonst defekt.
