I'm currently attempting to change my dark brunette hair back to my natural blonde. I've coloured my hair for the last 15 years so I knew when I highlighted it, that it would go quite orange/coppery on the first attempt. And it did. I tried to use purple/silver shampoo but it wasn't strong enough for the shade and did virtually nothing. So I decided to try these after I saw it recommended online.I was not disappointed! I got the impression that it wouldn't be an instant fix, but I have only used it twice and I'm so happy with the results. My hair still has a slight coppery tone to it but there is now blonde/gold shades too. It has made such a difference. I found the purple/silver shampoo dried my hair out and it didn't feel nice after washing it, but this one actually made my hair look healthier and the conditioner does a good job of moisturising after the shampoo. I know it seems pricey (I thought the same), but it is worth spending that amount. Especially as you'll be spending near enough that on 'colour before' kits anyway to achieve the same results.a few tips to keep in mind:1) wear gloves! I've seen on videos that the shampoo can stain your hands (its technically like a hair colour), iv used gloves since I've used it and so haven't had this yet, luckily2) once you have washed out the conditioner, rinse your hair with cold water. it seals in the blue better and your hair will feel much nicer after

I purchased this since my hairdresser uses Matrix products and after a recent visit, I thought I’d purchase some.It literally massages into hair so smooth and silky and smells lovely.It’s helped keep my blonde bright but I can also actually get a brush through it whilst wet. This is always a nightmare but after this it was so easy and tangle free.Highly recommend these products and they’re a great price.

I have dark blonde hair, my lighter highlights were growing out and my roots were annoying me so I used a box dye just to see me through till I went hairdressers. I used light blonde and left it on for the max time in the hope it would lift my hair enough, but left the roots gingery reddish tint which I sort of was expecting lol!!!Bought the blue shampoo and conditioner and after the first use it toned it down a smidge and the rest of my hair with the highlights which were a creamy white blonde went more ash blonde.It sort of blended in better and didnt look to bad and will see me through to january when I'll get my highlights again.Used it 3 times so far and it's looking better with each use and calming down the red !! Use for each wash til you get the colour you want. I will keep using it til I go hairdressers 😃

My blonde balayage (Dark brown hair) had gone rather golden after my holiday, my hair tends to go brassy brown in the sun. I usually visit my hairdresser to retone but not anymore!Fabulous stuff, I’ve tried the different brands of the purple stuff with mixed but poor results , but this stuff is miles better for brunettes with highlights. Just after one application and it’s back to its nice ashy blonde. Plus my natural hair looks better too.New users should note it’s the SHAMPOO that tones not the conditioner. The shampoo bottle I received had the European label. No issue as I could read it (basically leave shampoo on for 2-3 mins)I have quite dry hair but had no issues with dryness after using the conditioner.Highly recommend for brunettes with highlights

I had been using a highly rated popular brand no orange shampoo and this was leaving my hair like straw. My hair is naturally a little dry anyway and this only added to my problems. Being a not so natural blonde (cough cough) and wanting to keep those orange tones at bay I decided to try this Matrix stuff, hoping and praying this would be the answer and.....IT IS. It has such a beautiful smell and the conditioner (which a lot of people have mentioned is white, when it isent (it has a slight blue tinge to it) is wonderful and has left my hair in fantastic condition. So now not only do I have no more orange, I have no more frizz as well. This product really is a fantastic buy. Thank you Matrix, I am super chuffed : )

Amazing product. I normally have my dark blonde hair high lighted but I haven't been able to get to the hairdressers because of lock down and it was starting to look a mess. I thought I would risk using a hair dye as normally I avoid these because my hair always goes ginger. So I dyed my hair with a dark blonde hair dye and sure enough it went ginger!! After doing some research I came across this product I didn't realise you could use other products to take the ginger tones out and this shampoo is amazing!! Took about 3 washes to get the desired colour but I noticed a big difference after the first wash! I love my hair colour now! The conditioner left my hair feeling very soft will definitely be buying again!!

I bought this to tone down the brassiness in my hair after I bleached my roots during Covid19 lockdown. It left my hair in lovely soft condition but with a distinct purple tinge even though I left the shampoo on for half the recommended time after reading other reviews. It got rid of some of the brassy tones but wasn’t any more effective than the Touch of Silver brand I normally buy for £1.
