This is excellent grease but I’d check manufacturer’s specs so what you use is compatible. Sorry that doesn’t answer your question.

No, it's closer to number 2 grease. It's thicker than #0 so it stays in the bearing without slinging out.

Q: Is gr224 and gr224tub the same? i ordered this and gr224 was delivered. it doesn't say "high temp" anywhere on it.

The NLGI specs say wheel bearing grease is rated at -40 degrees to 320 degrees Fahrenheit, so that pretty much covers most applications. If your bearing gets that hot, either from just running or with brake heat, there isn’t many normal greases that can handle that. I’ve used the Timken grease for years with no problem.
