I purchased this cable to allow me to hook 2 SDR receiver sticks up to a single antenna. This allows me to pull in multiple channels (frequencies) at a time on different bands. I am setting up a monitoring station to let me listen to local public safety radio (fire, EMS - local police is encrypted now) using the P25 digital trunking system. I have been listening to the public safety traffic literally for decades - up until our area went digital. With the multiple frequencies the digital trunking system uses, multiple receivers are needed to get good coverage of the bands. This cable allows me to easily connect a single antenna to two receivers. So far, I have seen no issues with the signal, of course I am in a metropolitan area with pretty good coverage.

When picking your extensions, make sure the connectors fit your antenna connector. The pin can be on the male end OR the female end. I made this mistake thinking it was standardized. These particular extensions WILL NOT work on a typical wifi router antenna.
