Quality car shampoo without wax
I was looking for a quality car shampoo that didn't have a built in wax, as I was intending to apply a coating to the paintwork and needed the car clean and uncontaminated. The shampoo has a pleasant smell, foams well and you really only need to use a little at a time, so the cost is actually quite reasonable over time. I've used other big containers of shampoo that you need to pour in a real glug to get any foaming but this just needed a capful. It removed the usual dirt and splattered insects well and rinsed off leaving no trace, which was exactly what I wanted.Highly recommended. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

Great shampoo and I'm a detailer
Simple and neutral shampoo that cleans well but gently so will not affect your paint or paint protection including sealants, waxes and ceramic coatings. Foams up well in a bucket if agitated creating some clingy suds. Someone mentioned this is expensive but that's rubbish. It's one of the cheapest quality options available.

Good gear
I use this as a mild wash before applying any other products. This is basically just soap at the correct PH. It foams ok, smells brilliant and leaves a decent finish in it's own right but be aware it has no real water beading properties or anything like the Autoglym 'bodywork' shampoo has. This is good if you want just a clean car and then apply wax or other products afterwards. Here's what I do. If the car is filty or is covered in that grit in the rain that happens all the time now (probably chemtrails), then hose as much off as possible to avoid rubbing grit into your paintwork. Then wash the bottom of the car (worst bit) below knee height with fairy liquid & hot water and a relatively coarse microfibre mit. You may think to wash a car from the top but when you try this method you'll understand the logic. Do the wheels (dirtiest) at the end of this processs with the same bucket of fairy liquid then discard and thoroughly clean bucket out. There should be about a yard of sand in the bottom if it's been raining. If the car is very dirty get another clean bucket with fairy liquid in it and now do the complete car starting from the top with a lambswool mitten. You'll notice as you go down the car that cleaning the bottom bit first means less grit ends up being transferred up the car when washing doors etc. So why not use fairy liquid alone then? Good question. I'm talking about a heavily soiled car here and this is only stage 1. The reason they don't recommend strong detergents for cleaning is because they possibly strip away any wax or existing product already applied to the car but as I want to do this and get it really clean before applying new product it is ok in this scenario. If you don't intend any further applications of wax etc then I'd use the green Autoglym bodywork conditioning shampoo which has an additive that offers some protection and beading without buffing (brilliant stuff). After you've got the worst off with stage one you can now clean the car AGAIN from the top this time with autoglym pure shampoo and you have a fantastic clean car with a neutral PH base because as detergent is acidic it may interfere with the key of any further products so hence the second wash with Autoglym with neutral PH so you can add any waxes or sealing products afterwards with confidence. I think these products work better on a very clean base without other chemicals not letting them key properly. I detailed my silver X-type thoroughly (clay bar and all) with all the autoglym range of polishes and products and it looks like it just came out the factory. There are very likely superior products but I find across the range they are decent value and apart from the 'fast glass' (nothing beats fairy liquid for glass - ask any window cleaner) I have been happy with Autoglym. Can be pricey but shop around.

Leaves a nice shine on the car
It's a really good product. No nonsense, foams nicely and picks up dirt easily. I normally use three caps even though it says use only two. I hand wash my car and I am very happy with the results. Will definitely buy again.

Decent shampoo
Great value for a litre bottle if ph neutral shampoo, from a big brand, decent suds and nice lubricity. Not the best I have used but in the top 10 . Does the job fine, smells good and cleans well

Great product
This is an excellent car shampoo from a well established company. I've been using their car products for over 20 years now and have never been disappointed. Yes there are cheaper brands but with Autoglym you get consistency and a great finish to your car wash.

You get what you pay for...
This pure shampoo for cars is not cheap but there are some personal preferences and even advantages to this product. Yes, it smells nice, it foams well but above all else, it does clean well and doesn't leave much behind other than clean bodywork. I personally do not like using the wash & wax type shampoos that are available or get used at hit and run carwashes. Some are better than others but in my opinion, that stuff builds up on the windows too, even if you try not to let it. Polishing the glass becomes harder when it's gone waxy. My driveway is also clean after rinsing whereas wash and wax shampoos often leave a residue on the floor too. I find that using this shampoo (on a well wrung microfibre cloth) is very effective in cleaning the inside of the glass too. You could never do that with wash & wax shampoos. I do recommend this product along with most Autoglm stuff.

Good car shampoo
Easy to use car shampoo. I add it to the dispenser on my jet wash and it does a great job of getting the dirt off. I follow this with the autoglym wax for a great clean and shiny car.
