I guess it pays to be stubborn
I have tried so many products that claim to be moisturizing & good for dryness/ frizzyness, let alone helps prolong color treated hair.. None of them came anywhere close and too often even made the problem worse! I decided to try this shampoo/ conditioner duo because I knew some of the ingredients truly were beneficial (like with apple cider vinegar, the smell is a deterrent on it's own) So I colored my hair a few day's before these arrived, & it dryed my hair out pretty bad. I figured it was going to take a good chunk of time to get fresh life back in. I've used the shampoo twice, the conditioner once. Just this much, there is an obvious difference. My hair is softer, no sign of color leaching, & a huge percent of moisture is back from the color treatment. Plus there is natural shine! First time opening the shampoo bottle, I see the color, think of the obvious link to apple cider vinegar & inwardly cringe & mentally prepared myself for the smell ( I wouldn't of cared too bad if it worked, but hoped it'd be a better smelling alternative) It was thankfully, it is a somewhat subtle but obvious aroma of vanilla. (Which is pretty pleasant & lasting) I remembered about the description saying it was good for color treated hair due to low sulfates, so I worried I'd have to use a lot to clean my hair which is on the long side of medium length. It isn't as thick as traditional shampoos, & I did use a little more- but still the quality made it to where it's a non issue. So another plus. Even though I've only used it twice, I've experienced enough already to know that this product has already exceeded my expectations & I will definitely be a repeat customer. My whole family has some degree of natural curls- From light waves, to fairly tight ringlets. So those of you who know- that equals special moisture needs... I'm very happy I discovered this. And I hope if you're like me & trying to find a product like this that actually does what it claims? And this helps you? Then the time I've taken to write this is worth it. Edit: So I've used this for a few month's now, & have had some pleasantly surprising results- I even asked my husband to double check in case I was imagining it.. We both noticed a very definite thickness, & shine to go with everything I said above. I know a lot of women who've gotten hair care items promising this with no results.. So I'm very very very very happy 😂 that this product is doing it without me even noticing it listed as a possible effect? I literally could not be happier with this stuff.

It Works For Me!
I loved it, I felt that it worked extremely well for my hair. I have only used it twice but I have no complaints. I love Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner.

This shampoo is a miracle product. The conditioner is not worth it
To be clear this would be a five star for the shampoo alone. But I bought the duo and I found the conditioner incredibly disappointing. I have a lot of friends in the salon business and moonlight in them for extra cash so I'm around a lot of different products from a lot of different lines often at very high price points. I have tried everything. Hard 🛑 I'm kind of obsessed with hair products. Skin products too, but that's for a different day 🤭 Some background: 45 yo Caucasian gal, here. My hair is fine and naturally dark blonde ( a very warm bordering on strawberry level 7ish) with a varying curl pattern from 3a underneath to 1c on top. Most likely this is because of how damaged the top 1/3 of my hair is from decades of heat styling and highlighting. I didn't have any curls at all until my early to mid 30s and now the whole bottom under 3rd looks like a brick of dry ramen, lol. I wear it shoulder length with some layers and a full Fringe of bangs. I'm always messing around with it. I will typically High later low light about once a month. I will try toning every couple of weeks or at least soaking my dry roots in the blue matrix shampoo to cut through that orangey brass. I never really lift light enough to mess with the purple stuff. Blue is what works for me. But it's also very drying. Whenever I feel my hair getting really damaged I do typically lean on products marketed towards the African-American community because I find them to be so therapeutic for my hair. In the past, when I was PLATINUM and shedding badly I used the Ors line with great success. Rarely do AA products weigh my hair down too much which is odd considering how fine it is. I know that this line is not necessarily for black hair but I know that it's history and it's marketing does skew that way. So I'm here to say... Everybody can use it and everybody should! I usually only wash once every 4 to 8 days depending on my schedule and level of procrastination. I rely heavily on dry shampoo and creative ways to sleep with my hair up in-between washes. I do blow dry my bangs and the pieces around my face daily while the rest of my head maybe gets a blowout 2 to 3 times a week. Because of all that dry shampoo plus a natural propensity to have itchy dry skin it's a real struggle finding something that is going to thoroughly cleanse my heavily soiled scalp and relieve my itch while not drying my hair out entirely. Most of the time if it's going to clear my scalp like a decent clarifying shampoo it's going to leave my hair kind of parched. But OMG is this shampoo the absolute tits! I will sing it's praises forever. The conditioner is trash as far as I'm concerned. It doesn't do anything for me and I don't normally need much conditioner so if you have a lot of hair or very coarse hair you might want to reconsider buying the duo, DON'T ,and just commit to the shampoo. To be clear I use the conditioner to shave my legs now because it's worse than like the free conditioner from a crap motel. Why I love this shampoo: somehow it leaves your hair and scalp feeling incredibly clean but your hair also feeling silky while not weighed down. It does this better than any other product I have ever tried. I do typically like to double shampoo in the shower ( if you aren't double shampooing you have to start because it's that second shampoo that is really going to create the volume you need in your hair), ring the moisture out, work some conditioner through the bottom 2/3 avoiding my roots so they don't weigh down, comb it, clip it up, and then go about my other shower things like shaving my legs and exfoliating, yada yada before finally rinsing the conditioner out is my final showering step. Conditioning is essential for me. All of those curls get so snarled but also my hair needs that moisture. I don't like to use a lot of products on my hair once out of the shower because they shorten the length of time I can go between washes. It's a delicate balance. Ladies, you understand. When I tell you that if I brush my hair thoroughly before getting in the shower I can double cleanse with this shampoo and if I'm short on time I don't need to condition! This is unprecedented for me. Just don't massage the hair so much that you create tangles and you can probably do the same. Yes I do put a leave-in conditioner on after that but it saves so much time not having to set the conditioner in the shower for 5 to 10 minutes and then rinse it all out which takes forever in the morning. Buy this shampoo you will be so happy! Combined with the oiling I have started doing to the bottom 2/3 of my hair for a couple hours prior to getting in the shower and my hair has never been happier. It doesn't even matter what conditioner I use anymore. The pre-shower oiling and this shampoo have transformed my hair in all of two weeks. For what it's worth the price point is really decent compared to whatever is trendy and normally being shilled on us. BUY IT!!!

This is some great shampoo and conditioner. I normally don't wash my own hair but being tight on money and the hair salons be very expensive. So I did it myself and I was amazed at the results. So it's worth trying and I am natural 4c to be honest. The product is great great great.

It's A Yes!!!
Great combo. Smells so good and actually helped my husband's super thick dry hair. It's not as dry and I swear it breaks off a lot less when he combs it out.

Smells good. Shampoo is good. Conditioner failed to meet expectations. Conditioner still leaves the hair dry and unmoist.
