Like Oil of Ulay for your fretboard
I have owned a guitar for 20+ years and never thought of things like maintenance before but as I get older and no better at playing my thoughts have turned towards learning a little bit more about maintenance and set up of guitars. This was also spurned on by my son taking up the guitar and being much better than I ever was and will ever be. I still have the edge though because he doesn't have the patience to do the boring bits like changing strings, adjusting the set up and general maintenance.I have used this on a few of our old guitars which were well past dirty - I didn't realise until I started cleaning them. They came up a treat with a bit of lighter fluid and elbow grease - the cloth looked like I'd de greased an engine with it!!! I used the conditioner and the difference was very surprising. It felt better and somehow made the guitar look younger! It should last for ages - you don't need much and I will be using it regularly from now one, particularly when I change strings etc. Nice producet and good service.

New life juice!
Fantastic product. I ordered a guitar off ebay "New" - it might have been new but it was soo dry that it must have been stored in a kilm. This really did the trick, hydrated the fingerboard and gave the rosewood as deep brown that looks brand new. Read the instructions, you really don't need that much. I used to cloths, one for the application and one for the drying.

Great Value and Great Results
I was a little apprehensive at first but this is actually a great product. I only used a few drops on a rag and it was more than enough to do my entire fretboard before I restrung it.The results are substantially noticeable and has brought out the deeper tones on my fretboard making it look new again. For the price and how long this will last year I really don't see a downside.

Good stuff
This isn't the most amazing product but I've been using it for years and can't fault it

Excellent !!!
This is really good. As others have said you only need a tiny bit. The bottle has a dripper type cap so I tend to just gently tap the bottle top in a few places up and down the fingerboard the work it in. Worked great on a couple of rosewood boards that are years old and never been treated. Now much slicker and looks good as well. Old boards may need a few treatments but this small bottle will last you ages

Give your guitar the attention it deserves!
Great stuff..hadn't cleaned the frets properly on my classical guitar for 20 years and after restringing and cleaning fretboard gently with very fine wire wool I used this conditioner....andwow! It looked absolutely amazing. Absorbed really well into the wood and didn't smell so could use in the house ok. I also used plant waves other 3 products on the rest of my guitar to really give it the treat it deserved. Looks as if I'd just bought it again! Highly recommended

Amazing results
I bought this after purchasing a second hand guitar which needed work. The fretboard looks as new after using this, and there is enough in the bottle for many applications, although I do not think it will need to be redone for a long time. I have used this on rosewood fretboards so cannot comment on how it would affect other woods,

Does the trick.
Yeah, pretty good! Will last for ages. Quick spritz or two and your rosewood parts will come up like new.Just remember to wait a while after the initial wipe off because rosewood will continue to sweat some out, so you'll need a few good dry wipes.I don't like using naptha on rosewood boards so I just use the initial application as the cleaning phase, then a couple of hydrating sessions with the product.Suppose it depends on how grimey your board is but I don't think you need to buy a separate cleaner.

If the Cello is either woods then it should be fine, but there are so many different types of wood being used now some of which have a 'permanent' finish to artificially darken them. I wouldn't use it on those as the product may lift the surface colour off. I'm guessing that a Cello will have a good ebony fingerboard, in which case it would be fine. Be careful with the amount, as a little goes a long way. I put mine on with a soft fluff free cloth and gently work it all over, then wait for about 10 minutes, and then wipe all the residue off. I've been using it for about five years and it's great. I usually do it when I'm re-stringing about four times a year. I'm in the North of England. Hope this helps. David 😎"}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Can this be used on maple fretboards?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"Generally no. Rosewood and ebony fretboards are unsealed - no varnish. The wood therefore needs nourishment to prevent drying out, shrinking and cracking. That is what this oil is designed for. Maple fretboards however are varnished, and don't need oiling, and it wouldn't penetrate into the wood anyway. The varnish on maple fretboards does become scratched yellowed and grubby, only some of which can be cleaned off, and this oil isn't designed for that."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"what are all the ingredients?
