The Salt Seller Organic Pink Himalayan Fine Salt 1 kg (Pack of 2)

I started my journey with buying The Salt Seller Organic Pink Himalayan Fine Salt with buying a smaller 300g jar, just to try it and to see if it was for me and my family. I loved it. A little goes a long way, So if you are looking to reduce your salt intake, this is a great way to do it whilst also increasing the taste and health benefits of the salt you put on your food or in your cooking. I bought myself a lovely glass salt shaker (see my other reviews) to display this pretty pale pink Himalayan Salt. Its lovely! I adore the taste and its very Nutritious. I've never bought cheap nasty table salt from supermarkets, always preferring the taste and texture of freshly ground sea salt, but this is now my preferred salt for putting on my food and I also use it in cooking. I would not go back to either basic salt or even sea salt again. I use this salt for everything. It tastes simply amazing on boiled eggs, chips, roast beef and especially mashed potatoes laced with butter. Yum! Buying it in 1kg bags (x2) is such amazing value for money as it works out a lot cheaper for what is, in my opinion, the best salt in the world.

I highly recommend this Salt and I will never go back to that standard Salt. This is great value for money and will last for a long time if used accordingly. It tastes great on boiled eggs and on chips. As others have stated it enhances flavour in cooking and everything else stated which is positive, is true. I don't know what else to say apart from the piece of mind of knowing that my body is finally getting the essential minerals it needs from a natural source.

This salt is delicious! I have been using it for around a year now and it's such high quality that I was able to wean myself off of Omeprazole for G.E.R.D. within six months and my body resumed normal proton pump function supported by the ongoing use of this salt in my daily diet. Now I rarely feel the abdominal discomfort experienced before and on those rare occasions some of this salt clears it up quickly. It does have a slightly larger grain size than regular table salt so most of my dispensers needed larger holes to work effectively.

To the point. I cant fault the salt. It is flavoursome and free flowing. It is also a pleasant pink colour...go figure! I give it five stars for now, but it might go to three or two depending on the outcome of this report. My gripe is two-fold. First is that this salt should have gone through a more thorough sorting process that is worthy of the label 'food grade'. I found a goodly amount of large crystals/rocks (of salt) when I sifted through the bags. I will add that there were no contaminants found, only big rocks of salt. And I say rocks but mean a rock the size of a large grain of rice. This is not rock salt that I am buying but 'free flowing'. My issue is that these rock are large enough to survive cooking and can be seen on the plate. The second flaw is that there was not two KG as promised. It was short by 5% in weight. Not a lot. But still not 100%. I would be happy to know if this is the norm!!!

I should have checked the product image in greater detail, ie zoomed it. On the packaging it states pink mountain salt. This, I am told is not the same as pink Himalayan salt.It tastes better than the usual white salt. But i am not going to repurchase it again, instead i have found another item stating clearly that it is pink Himalayan salt and can also be used in cooking.

This has become our salt of choice. Pity all the good things cost so much more, but this make is one of the better deals.

as a salt lover,although this stuff is much more expensive than shop bought salt, it is well worth the money. it makes such a difference in foods, the tase is so much better and it has the benefits of all the minerals too. use sparingly

it really makes the differance plus it has good attributes where the refined salt dont i was after the course version and got this one by accident but would defo consider getting it next time
