Sorry, my answer may not help. I purchased for a 4 year old and she is very small for her age. A 3T fit perfectly.

Q: There are no washing instructions inside shirt. Amazon site says machine wash. Is it machine wash col? Is it tumble dry low or line dry?

I've been machine washing in cold water using Tide Cold Water tabs. I've been drying using normal setting. I didn't get this exact sweatshirt for my granddaughter so I have no clue if it's a cotton blend.
