I've been through countless water fountains and countless filters but I am pleasantly surprised how well these keep my fountain clean and clear so Kitty drinks more water. I also hadn't read the description well and was pleasantly surprised that the dark black round filters come with the white filters as well so very well priced for what you get. Kitty approved

I buy these filters once or twice a year to go with the coordinating pet water fountain. I have mine sitting on a table on the front porch where birds, cats, racoons and squirrels drink and play/bathe all year long, but especially during the summer months. I find that, if I wash the fountain in hot, soapy bleach water, the filters last a bit longer and need to be replaced every two weeks. In the hottest months, I clean and change the filters every week. They keep the water clean, clear and fresh and, for the price, they are a great bargain.
