Tourist History is the debut studio album by Northern Irish indie rock band Two Door Cinema Club. It was released on 17 February 2010 by Kitsuné. The album is named for the reputation of the band's hometown, Bangor, as a tourist attraction. Tourist History won the Choice Music Prize for the 2010 Irish Album of the Year. The band said it was the first award they had ever won and donated the €10,000 prize money to charity. 33 RPM.

Better than the rest - spectacular album!
This album is quite simply one of the best albums released in years. Bursting at the seems with energy, creativity, fantastic melodies and imaginative touches, it is a stunning tour de force. Rarely have I ever come across a collection of songs so enjoyable and impressive. It absolutely blasts everything else out of the water. The fact that singer Alex Trimble is pleasant to listen to is a true joy compared to so many other bands, while the beauty and nimbleness of Sam Halliday's guitar playing is often spectacular.A few years ago, I used to be sceptical about the state of modern music. But with this album, I am sorry I had to wait so many years for Two Door Cinema Club to arrive. Tourist History simply demolishes modern classics such as OK Computer - and nearly everything else out there today. It's easy to write a downbeat set of songs, but it's actually a lot harder to write upbeat, positive songs that genuinely punch their weight. That's why this album is such a stunning success. It's a real treat for your spirits. I really admire the way this band have managed to harness the power of a positive attitude, creating a life-affirming album. I truly hope they get the recognition they deserve.I actually bought this album after hearing 'This is the life', so if you want to get a good idea of what you can enjoy here, it's a good place to start. Looking at Tourist History as a whole, I'm not sure if this is better described as an album, or a manifesto of how modern music should sound. Every song on here is a winner - they are not just good, they are each individually brilliant. If you thought contemporary music was out of ideas - buy this album. The music is as good as it has ever been! Thank you Two Door Cinema Club.

Favourite album of all time, love every song
Every song on this album could be a single. They are all upbeat and happy songs, the type that make you want to dance around the kitchen all day.The songs on Tourist History's guitar riffs coupled with the angel-like voice of Alex Trimble make for the perfect album. It grips you from start to finish. The best song in my opinion is 'Something Good Can Work' which is catchy and fast-paced. The chorus is fun to sing along to due to it's speed and tongue-twisting nature. This album is perfect for anyone, like me, who can't deal with slow music! The only downside to this album would be the fact that all the songs sound the same, but I wouldn't call that a problem because the style that Two Door Cinema Club have come up with is unique and perfect.I only wish there were more bands that sound as great as this one does!

Brilliant album
I first discovered Two door Cinema club only recently after watching them online at Bestival 2012 and instantly like their sound so had a look on Youtube at some of the tracks from this album and just had to get it.Recommending a certain type of band or music is like buying perfume for someone you've never actually met - a total shot in the dark, but if you like some of the stuff they have been doing recently then this album is really worth getting especially at the current Amazon prices. My fav tracks have got to be (amongst others) 'Undercover martyn' 'This is the life' and the air guitar inducing 'What you know'.I made me wonder why it has taken me so long to catch on.......?

Clean Crisp Friendly Music
not a massive fan of any band who the industry choose as the ' next big thing ' which by all accounts TDCC are ?!?!? anyways this album is good, its clean its crisp its upbeat and I liked it all the way throughkind of a blend between Friendly fires and white lies for me... they are good musicians and all work well together and all clearly understand the bands philosophy.to be honest ive left the album in my car... my car is being serviced and I cant wait to put it on again and try the longevity of the album.good album.. slightly on the commercial side.. but thats fine.. if your a music fan youll like it

Definitely a '1-click' purchase!
Now, I would very much consider myself 'musically-challenged'. I am the last person you would want on your team in a music themed pub quiz, and I'm really not a fan of 'band' music. But I LOVE this album. Upbeat, chatchy, feel good tunes from start to finish. I find myself jumping around in my bedroom, thrashing my arm in my car and going mental when I saw them live. I've listened to the album continuously for the past two weeks and each time I try and choose my favourite track. "this one.... oh no, maybe this one.... No, this one..." I just cant decide! Brilliant!

Love this album!
I decided to buy this album before I saw the band so I could be familiar with some of their music. I was going to see them on a whim - I had sort of a gut feeling that I was going to like them. Wow! They were brilliant and as a consequence I have been playing the album regularly since. It took a few plays before I really got into it but often that's the best way rather than instant gratification. If you are wanting a feel good catchy upbeat album - this definitely fits the bill.

Absolutely Fantastic!
My boyfriend persuaded me to listen to this album online. I was skeptical but I was wrong. I'll cut right to the chase, this is unequivocally one of the best British albums of the past five years and i'm as cynical as they come !! It;s hard to put your finger on what makes this record "stand out" but the long and short is that the songs are all fantastic. They are not re-inventing the wheel musically for sure but what they do they do really well and i've been waking up with the songs in my head every day. A real pleasure !

Two Door Cinema Club Vinyl (Tourist History)
Ordered as a birthday present for my 16 year old Two-Door-Cinema-Club-addicted son's birthday! The product was well-packaged and arrived undamaged (which was a concern when I orderd it, give the fragile nature of the item)! My only disappointment was that it arrived several days outside of a very long estimated delivery window, but that doesn't detract from the product itself. Very happy son, which is what matters!

Bel Disco
