Great for risotto, paella, large items of frying (bacon, sausages etc)
I got this to fry cooked breakfasts when my family come over. We also start a risotto in it and then move to oven. It’s a game changer. Works great on an induction stove and in oven. Great value for money. We love it.

Great results but description confusing
On a walking trip in Northern Spain many years ago, I encountered a 'Chicken and Chorizo' paella. Absolutely loved it so worked out how to cook it myself when I got home. I've had a 12" paella pan for decades now, but my kids have reached the age where their appetites are quite voracious, so when on Thursday I decided to cook paella for Sunday, I decided I needed a larger pan. So I ordered this 15" pan on Friday, it arrived on Saturday, quick wash and used on Sunday. First class service there. Now the first thing I realised was that at 15" I wasn't going to be able to cook the paella on a single stove element (mine's ceramic, electric). Unlike a risotto, once the cooking process is started the paella should be left alone on a low heat, no stirring (I wonder if that's where the reviewer who complained that the non-stick came away went wrong? Too high a heat and too much stirring?). So to ensure cooked rice all around the pan I ended up hanging the edges over two stove elements, with regular turning so that different parts of the pan were getting direct heat. The result was an excellent paella that only just managed to completely satisfy the voracious appetites of the masses. Cleaning the following morning (no soaking) was simple and when finished the pan looked exactly as it had arrived in its packaging. All good so why have I dropped a star? The reason is that the instructions (which are pretty sparse) state 'If ... soiled with dried food ... fill to the top with water and let stand overnight ...'. Now according to the product description, this pan is made from carbon steel, which as many people will know, is (like cast iron) subject to rust, and according to all knowledgeable sources should never be left to soak since that can lead to rusting. So why do these instructions tell you to do the opposite? Are they assuming that the non-stick coating will protect the steel? or is the claim to be carbon steel a little iffy, doubtful since the description frequently reiterates that the pan is carbon steel? In addition, carbon steel is usually rendered non-stick by a seasoning process (thin coat of oil and put in a high heat oven), so why does this pan need a non-stick coating, (which incidentally is only guaranteed for 3 years so what happens after that)? If the coating is a seasoning, why doesn't it say so? To be safe I treated it as I would carbon steel (I have other carbon steel pans as well as carbon steel knives) which means I washed it, immediately dried it thoroughly and then put on a heated stove top element to ensure that any residual water evaporated. So overall, very happy with the cooking results, but a little confused by the product description and instructions.

Perfect party paella dish
This is perfect for using in my outdoor kitchen. I waited to write a review until I had used it a couple of times. No sticking, even heat distribution and easy to clean. Perfect!

You get what you pay for
Don't let the carbon steel description fool you, this is a none stick pan that might use carbon steel handles but it's unlikely. This is cast aluminium at best and feels a bit light on comparison to a more heavy duty carbon steel cooking appliance. It isn't bad, I've used mine twice now but despite using wooden utensils on it the none stick coating is already showing signs of scratches and marks so I'm expecting the coating to start coming off sooner rather than at all. My own fault, searching for a carbon steel pan and seeing an attractive price. You get what you pay for so if you want something that's going to last a lot longer, keep shopping.

Great pan for the money!
Firstly this product is amazing value for money. It's easy to clean, and transfers heat fairly well. The only down side is that the pan does distort slightly whilst over the hob (slight bulges where there is direct heat) Nothing drastic, but I guess it's cheap and cheerful and being a thin gauge metal I would expect this. Far exceeded my expectations for the price.

Parfait.
