Excellent quality and precision
I’m very impressed with the louisware electronic digital vernier caliper system. The build quality is solid, and the digital display is clear and easy to read . It’s accurate and easy to switch between millimetres and inches. The 150mm range is perfect for most tasks, the smooth sliding action makes it comfortable to use. It’s lightweight, durable and the zeroing function is a great feature. Overall, a reliable and affordable measuring tool. Would recommend!

Very happy
I haven't calibrated it, but I've measured the little screwdriver that comes with it and I get *exactly* the same reading every time, accurate to 0.01mm. I measured a postit note too, and it was sensitive enough to read that (0.09mm / 0.003 inches), which according to 3M is exactly on the money. Again, same reading every single time. I can't verify that the readings are objectively accurate, but they are exactly the same every single time I measure the same spot on a solid material. Roller wheel is a bit wiggly, but not about to come loose at all. I think maybe they made it wiggly so that it wasn't in contact with the track all of the time and so doesn't get worn out. It also means that you son't have to manhandle it to get it to move, so I'm happy. Pointing this out so that people don't think that they've been sent a faulty one more than anything. The screw on the top isn't mentioned in the instructions, but it just locks the caliper in place at a desired point. So you can measure something, lock it in place, then compare it to something else without having to faff with getting it to read the same value manually (it's very sensitive). Feels well made. Very happy. It's nice not to pay the earth for something but to get a really nice quality thing. I paid for this myself, this is not a sponsored review, I'm just really happy with it. I honestly don't have anything negative to say. P.S: Come with a battery installed, and has a spare in the case. LR44 incase you need a replacement in the future. Neato.

Does it do the job?
This looks well-made and covers all usual needs for accurate measurement of externals, internals and depths up to 150mm (6"). I have used a digital caliper in my business life, now retired, but need this only for casual use. With normal care for a precision instrument, this should last a long time. The display is clear and it is easy to switch between metric and Imperial. Having set zero, it returned to it over a number of operations. The jaws are apparently made of stainless iron (ferrous & magnetic), not stainless steel so could be subject to rust in presence of moisture. Recommended.

Fantastic Caliper
I needed some decent Calipers to measure wood thickness for a project I am currently working on. Having looked at several on amazon I decided on these based on the reviews. I have to say I wasn't disappointed. These are a really good set of reasonably priced callipers. They are made from stainless steel and even the digital display is metal and not cheap plastic. With this product you can accurately take both the external and internal measurements up to 15cm. You also have a depth gauge on the other end. Upon testing them the measure seemed very accurate, i did need to reset them to zero every time i took them out but that is no hardship. You can measure in either mm or inches. I only have one negative thing to say about this product and that is it comes in a cheap plastic box, but i suppose it keeps it safe! Overall I think this is an excellent product and if you are looking for a decent set of callipers then i wouldn't hesitate to recommend these. Grippingly smooth
My trusty digital caliper of many years finally refused to recognise a new battery, and with large and clear digits plus a stated very long battery life, this looked to be a good replacement. The caliper is presented in a nice plastic box with dense foam padding. Included is a replacement battery, but there is already one fitted so I didn't need to break into the spare (and, hopefully, won't need to for at least a year!). Likewise, the screwdriver that gives access to the battery compartment wasn't required yet, but it's a nice touch to have it in the box too. The body of the caliper is definitely all-metal as opposed to the mostly-plastic of some. As a result it is quite hefty, which is somewhat reassuring in a strange way. Also a step above other calipers are the buttons, which have a definite click on pressing - almost keyboard-like - which exudes quality. Movement is smooth and notch-free, which reinforces the good feel. Not that one really needs to use the buttons - the display is turned on automatically when the jaw is moved, and turns off automatically after 5 minutes on no movement. None of this means anything if the caliper doesn't actually measure anything very well. Attached are two photos of a standard 25mm block being measured and, as you can see, the result is spot on, not just at the tip but all the way along the jaws. Repeatability, which is just as important as a one-off reading, is excellent too.

Good quality, well made and comes with spare batteries.
The item came as described, it has a sturdy case, the calipers seem well made and has a full metal construction. Inside the case there is a screw driver for opening the battery compartment and a pair of spare batteries. The calipers already had one battery inside. They work well and seem accurate enough for hobbyists (3D printing/CAD design. Well worth the money.

Amazing calipers, cant recommend enough.
Amazing set of calipers and I can't recommend these enough. Comes with every feature you could ask for and with a price tag that is very reasonable! 2 decimal places is great and repeat measurements agree. Without a well calibrated block to measure against, I can't say for sure how accurate these are, but if you really wanted to be pernickety about the accuracy down at the 10um level, then you should be looking for calipers that come with a certificate (and a much higher price tag). For a hobbyist, they're amazing. I've had experience with poor quality calipers and with those, the jaws didn't always remain parallel. These are very well machined and don't suffer those issues. You'll see from the photos that I took some close ups of the internal measuring jaws. These line up very well by comparison to some I've seen. The same is true for the depth gauge. As functionality goes, when you move the calipers, the display automatically turns on. Similarly, if you put them down for several (~5) minutes, then the display automatically turns off. The thumb wheel is a pleasure to use and the screw on the top can secure a measurement and be used for storage. The buttons have a nice feel to them. The battery lid has 2 screws so this remains secure under all conditions. A small screw driver is provided plus a replacement battery. The case that all of this comes in is sturdy. Like I say... everything you could ask for from a set of calipers! Oh and on the reverse side is a lookup table telling you the standard thread pitches and bore diameters for metric and imperial screws as a reference. Amazing.

Battery holder/cover ruins it
Generally it looks like a nice, solid and relatively precise tool. However.. What mostly ruins it is the battery holder. It uses tiny battery and it's almost Murphy's law: it will be flat when you need it. And that battery holder is held by 2 flimsy tiny screws. And you need that tiny flimsy screwdriver to open it.. That cover should have been made possible to remove without any tools (sliding click door or round screw cover you can remove with fingers or a coin). Oh and on top of that it seems to be really sensitive to battery thickness.. Some LR44 batteries seem to be thicker than others. And this tool only properly accepts thinner ones.
