Good value & works extremely well
Bought this PondKraft Solar Oxygenating pump 7 weeks ago after the previous pump of another brand - which was more expensive - suddenly stopped working after only 8 months. That one was also noisy and only worked with slow bubbles and only in full sun. What a difference this PondKraft Solar Oxygenating Pump has made. It was easy to fit, came to life straight away with amazing energy and fast bubbles - but is extremely quiet. What’s so good too is that as well as in sunshine the oxygenator will continue to work in light cloud cover, making good strength bubbles. We have a garden pond of 250 Ltrs with four Shubunkins of average size which have suddenly come to life since this new pump, water is much clearer and the plants too are looking healthier. All in all this is a fantastic buy, for a really good price and we’re really pleased and happy to recommend it.

Solar Pump works well when sun shining
Used pump to aerate a small pondHave had the pump for 3 days now and it is working well. The main thing to remember when you buy this pump is that it is solar. If there is not enough sun it will not work, maybe the solar panel could be larger or shaped to collect more sun. I had that issue on the second morning after setting it up, a bright sunny day but the pump did not work as the sun was at an angle to the solar collector and it did not collect enough sun.Other than that it works well.As for the weatherproofing I have not had it long enough to comment.

Surprisingly Powerful for its Size
Delivery was quick. Opened the box and within 5 minutes it was by the pond and working. Quite powerful for its size and leads and tubing are long enough to site the solar panel and pump in a suitable position.Solar Panel looks better than the one in the picture on Amazon. Black plastic surround rather than what looks like aluminium. Only works in sunshine or very bright weather but that is fine for me. They say the pump is suitable to be outdoors so let’s see. It has been working fine for a week, even in the hot temperatures - all seems good to me and saving electricity as I have unplugged my mains air pump now. What’s not to like?

works brilliantly
I wasn't to sure how well this air pump would work but I am very pleased with the performance. Takes about 5 mins to set up and there is plenty of wiring and tubing to allow easy placement . As several reviewers have stated it does rely on sunshine to work , but when the sun shines it gives loads of air bubbles and is quite sensitive so if clouds pass over it cuts out. The fish took a few days to get used to it but now they enjoy swimming through the bubbles and the pond's clarity has improved and the water is sparkling. Highly recommended.

Bubbles on a bright day!
I don't switch my main pond pump and UV filter on when the frogs are doing their 'spring thing', which means that the water tends to become somewhat discoloured and stagnant for a while. So I purchased this as a means of aerating the pond in the meantime. Out of the package, the device is smaller than anticipated, but appears well made and is simple to set up. It is essential to position the solar panel where it will receive full sunlight, as the motor will only operate when the sun is unobstructed by cloud. The ensuing stream of bubbles is not spectacular, but is sufficient for the purpose that I intended. I would consider the device more suitable for a small pond. I also found it useful to attach a length of garden wire along the tube to the airstone in order to submerge it more deeply. So, in a nutshell, a useful little device if you accept its limitations.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy
This is fantastic! It arrived in a couple of days, like it should. Open the box, plug all the bits together ( really easy) stick the solar panel in the sun, and off you go. A lot of bubbles for the size of the airstone! A fish jacuzzi if you will. My pond is very long and narrow, and this piece of kit has improved the water quality no end! The cable to the panel is really long, so positioning the solar panel shouldn't be a problem. The pump is extremely quiet, which is a bonus. The solar panel needs to be facing the sun to work, it doesn't work if it's cloudy, but it more than makes up for that with oxygenation when it does. Happy fish, and that's all I can ask for!

Suncatcher
Having already bought a similar fantastic pump that went out of stock I opted for this one. It arrived next day and was easy to set up apart from the spike which is very loose and falls out when moving the solar board to face the sun throughout the day. Doesn't really matter tho once its in place the board doesn't move. It does exactly as described...when the sun FULLY hits the solar board the bubbles pour out the stone beautifully but it does need FULL sunlight to work unlike the other pump I bought for the same money that continues like a trooper even in cloudy conditions it just creates less bubbles. So I cannot complain as it does what it states but nothing more, you just need FULL sunlight for it to spring into action. The fish love it when its on.
