I have a 500x1 Rockford Fosgate Prime Class-D amp. Should I get the 2 Ohm or 4 Ohm version of this sub?

If you're getting one sub, get the one with dual 4-ohm voice coils. Wire them in parallel for a 2-ohm load on the amplifier for 500w to the one sub. If you're getting two subs, get the dual 2-ohm version. Wire the voice coils in series for 4 ohms per sub, then wire them in parallel to the amp for an end load on the amp of 2 ohms. This will give you 250w per sub.

Amp suggestion for running two of these subs?

I am running a Fosgate T1000-1bdCP. Its a 1000w watt @ 2 OHMs. and i have both P3D4 subs Wired to a 2 OHM final. YouTube "how to wire 2 Dual 4 OHM voice coils to a 2 OHM final" if your wiring up your self... i also recommend a Ported box with at least 2 cu. ft per chamber nor 2 cu. ft per speaker i have this set up in a full 1 inch MDF hand made Labrynth slot port box and it SLAAAAAM! i also Listen to Mostly RAP so.... it suites fine for BASS

Should i get 1 15 inch p3 or 2 12 inch. I will pair with rf prime 1200

I had 2 12's at one point, then upgraded to a solo 15, then had one 12" P3 in a smaller box. The solo 12 was almost as loud as the 15 and took up a lot less space.

I have 2 of these what type of ported subwoofer box should I buy for them?

I only have one P3, I bought a box with a vertical slot port on the left side of the box. A friend of mine has two kicker compRs, he has a dual slot ported box for his subs. His slot ports are on opposite ends of the face of the box. I would recommend that kind of box. The slot ports provide a lot of space for air travel. There are different setups with one big port in the middle. I personally would go with one like my buddy has where the ports are on opposite ends of the box. I think sound quality is be better like that instead of the one in the middle. Search on amazon for a dual slot ported box and you can see both types of boxes. I would also recommend wiring your subs as two ohm subs. Do this by taking some speaker wire +/- and linking the + to + and - to - connections on the speaker before putting the +/- connectors from the box. It doesn't matter after that where to put the + and - wires from the box to the speaker just make sure you always put + to+'s and - to -'s. Gives you more power. Good luck to you, make some noise!!!

This sub Pounds for days 10/10

This is HANDS DOWN the BEST sub for the price. It sounds like 2 12inch of any other, non competition brand sub. Hits HARD!!! I debated for a long time between this and the Pioneer Champion Pro, but went with this because of the rubber surround and MAN am I glad that I did. I listen to a lot of Hip Hop / Rap and this thing sounds soooooooooo clean. Its missing a tiny bit of the low low end bass, but that is just because it is not a 15 and has nothing to do with the quality of the sub. Paired this with the Rockford Fosgate Prime 500.1D Amp that came with a birth sheet of 632RMS. Tuned it with a multimeter for optimum sound quality. My only WARNING about this sub is MAKE SURE YOU BREAK IT IN ON LOW LOW LOW VOLUME FOR ABOUT 2 - 3 WEEKS, NOT DAYS, BEFORE YOU START SLAMMING IT OR IT WILL BREAK AND YOU WILL BE PISSED!!!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!! The spider on these subs is SUPER stiff and if you slam it too hard before it has a chance to stretch IT WILL TEAR THE SPIDER AND YOU WILL HATE YOURSELF FOR HAVING TO BUY ANOTHER ONE IN A MONTH. I took the time to break it in and it sounds EPIC after about 3 weeks. Sub will start out kind of quiet and the bass will not hit very hard, THAT IS NORMAL!!! Don't just turn it up trying to get more bass right out of the box. I have not heard this sub in a sealed box, as I don't listen to a lot of Dubstep or Rock, but if you put it in one I'm sure you COULD crack your rear windshield with it, heads up Metal Heads! I bought a Sound Ordinance Sound Bunker v175 ported box because it was the best match for the required cubic measurements that I could find online. I also recommend that box if you can't have a better one made, but its the best 5/8 MDF box you can buy. If you want CRAZY bass, buy 2 of these and a ported box plus a good 1200w RMS amp (I recommend the RF Prime for cheap, Alpine for mid priced and RF Punch for anyone who can afford $500 for an amp, mono block class D of course) Hope this helps people on the fence, don't debate anymore unless you are looking at crazy $500 competition subs, this is the one you want.
