Slipstick CB680 Floor Protecting Rubber Office Chair Casters (Set of 5) 50 mm Castor Wheels with Standard Stem Size - Black/Gray

I bought these to replace the original hard plastic wheels on my office chair. My office floor has porcelain tiles on which hard plastic wheels are not recommended. The manufacturers state that these wheels comprise a specially formulated rubber material that gives a smooth movement whilst protecting tiled or laminated floors. This is confirmed on their website and on the box. They are not polyurethane or any other type of plastic.Rubber wheels ensure a smoother movement than polyurethane wheels, but rubber normally has an increased roll resistance, creating higher user fatigue when moving the chair. However these wheels have a very similar roll resistance and feel to polyurethane. And I am very satisfied with both the roll resistance and smooth operation of these wheels on my chair.They were very easy to fit and don’t need any special tools; the old wheels simply pulled off with a sharp tug. Note that these wheels come with a standard 11mm diameter shaft that fits into the chair. They should fit any chair except those made by IKEA – which uniquely require a 10mm shaft.

The gray layer on the wheels is not rubber, it's just softer plastic. The wheels are not quieter or easier to roll than the standard ones that come with the chair. For similar price you can get ball bearing silicon wheels, that are far superior. I am trully dissapointed with those as I have second chair with ball bearings wheels. Do not buy if you are after better and quieter rolling. Otherwise those are fully functionall as wheels just not worth the price.

Okay so i ignored the reviews saying its not rubber and brought them, my mistake. They are a hard plastic and do not roll easily. they squeak and they scratch wood flooring. I'm thinking of getting a mat for the chair but not sure. I suggest you do not waste your money as i did

Good value, particularly when compared to the cost of a new chair!Easy to fit to new castors, the challenging part is removing the old castors - good old fashioned brute force required

Two things I dont like about them.1. "Rubber" wheels are hard plastic - Noisy as the original wheels2. They squeak and squeel in use.If I hadn't thrown the boxes away I would have returned them for my money back and bought better ones.I bought two sets for two chairs and they are the same.Not a good purchase.

I had my office chair for a while now and started to notice blacks marks on the floor. I was advised that i needed rubber office chairs, i was also recommended these as one which would fit and work as mine. However it was a huge dissapointment.- InstallationThis was super simple, just plug them / push them in.The overall experience was that moving the chair now become very difficult, it was almost like i did not have wheels. However i am happy to advise that there was no longer any marks.Because of this experience and lack of quality i did return them. I bought a different brand which is now by far easier to move around with.Overall:Be aware that you might have challenge to move your chair with your feet. I hope this helps anyone else who might want to buy these ones.

This is a good product. No problems with it. However the shipping charges on it were painful to bear.

These left marks all over my hardwood floor. The plastic still seems to be hard. I have no idea how these are any different from the hard black plastic on my old ones (apart from they left no marks!). Do not buy these, get the rollerblade style ones instead.

Inte golvskyddande direkt. Höll också dåligt. Jag är väldigt tung men att de skulle ge upp efter bara några månader är lite väl.

Out of the box and in place these worked just fine for about two weeks. After that there was a terrible screeching when I rolled my desk chair. It was necessary to remove them from the chair and oil the axles. They seem to role a bit better now but I have no idea how long that will last before I have to remove them again for lubrication.
