Russell Hobbs 18790 Futura 4-Slice Toaster, 1500 W, Stainless Steel Silver, Four Slice

I bought this to replace an almost identical Russell Hobbs toaster which we had for about 10 years. This new one toasts perfectly and can cope with really thick slices of bread or crumpets just like the old model so I hope this one lasts another 10 years.

Having had several toaster over my fairley long life, so far, I was initially disapointed, the bread stuck out the top. No toaster I had previuosly owned had not taken a full slice of bread, very odd! It took a day or two, to try putting the bread in sideways! Ahh! now it is a proper toaster!

Dose what it should

Not a good toaster. The cable is about 40cm long. Which is useless. We need to have it sideways on the work top just to plug it in. The arms of the inards which hold the toast bends under minimal pressure. Even the smallest piece of bread bends the arms and they come out of the guides jamming the mechanism. After months on rebending them and putting them back on the guides, they now bend and touch the elements, tripping our circuit breaker. This is all in less than a year. Disappointing from this brand. Avoid

Works well but it has two issues. One is standard bread does not fit into slots easily. Two, whilst browning you cannot see progress by lifting levers like my old RH toaster.

It toasts evenly and the wide slots handle thicker bread with no problem. Four slots are really handy in the morning. Heats up fast and is easy to clean. Feels solid and looks good on the counter- not too big like some other ones. Happy with the purchase and would buy it again.

Bon et beau produit, mais la puissance de chauffe est trop faible, cela mets trop de temps à griller le pain
