Perfect for ponds and water features
I have got many ponds and water features in my garden making this a essential piece of kit. The pump works excellent in helping remove water from these from water changes to draining fully down to clean out. The installation of the pump is straight forward, I purchased a lay flat hose and attached to the outlet using a jubilee clip. I can water the plants or put the water straight down the drain. Excellent value for money a very powerful pump, as I've mentioned it's very versatile I even used when draining my bath when the plug release broke. It's not loud, a UK 3 pin plug is provided and the length of the cable is ample. Highly recommended.

Dirty Water Pump - Building work capable!
I have a very high water table and trying to dig foundations at the wrong time of year has its challenges, of which for less than £40 this pump (370watt version) was just perfect at shifting water quickly out of the strip foundations. Whilst it easily pumps large particles, mud and dirty water you have to be mindful that it also expels all that dirt at the end of the line. I kept this pump protected from the really nasty lumps and clayfilled water by drilling some 16mm holes in a bucket and submerging, and this pump filled a £1 DIY (10ltr) bucket within 8seconds that was 10meters away when I used a 32mm flexible hose from amazon and tested its capacity (on nearly level ground no head). Its also compatible with UK DIY store 32mm PVC pipework (flo-plast) as the thread matches, so I would recommend that as a solution if you need a rigid setup to a drain point. I also note that I had the pump running dry a few times because I didn't have enough depth of water for the float switch to bob around and operate.Similar to other reviews I thought it was broke at one point as it was running but not pumping water out the hose, just dribbling it out the side of the shell and I nearly gave up hope, but then I gave it a wiggle, shake, turned it on its side and nearly upside down (whilst it was under water) and some big air bubbles released from the pump and it kicked back in at full speed.....so it was an airlock FYI if you suffer the same (resolve by resubmerging fully laying on side and ensure no air in the unit).Tip, if your needing to pump to a location that has any corners on its route then I would not go for a flat hose in the pics, as the hose will kink rather than curve, and it will also dry quickly in the sun when empty and stick together putting crazy strain on the pump as the water can't pass when it starts up again.Extra tip.....When setup on a smart plug such as a meross wifi plug, it's great to have peace of mind that it can be programmed to a schedule or auto-off after a period of time just in case you also run the risk of it being able to run dry becauseyou can't have the float switch operate in tiny spaces.I would defo buy this unit again to pump out anything like a jacuzzi, pond, waterbutt, feed from a stream, foundations, low ground.

A decent little pump, but with some limitations
A decent little pump which works well, but with a couple of fairly major limitations; the most obvious being a minimum operating depth of 50mm (approximately 2 inches). This isn't stated in the product description page, and is only mentioned in the operating manual.50mm is a surprising amount of water, and the cable on the float switch is long enough that unless you set it up very carefully you can inadvertently end up running the pump dry and damaging the motor. We found this out the hard way after using it to drain water from an inflatable spa. Fortunately we were able to shut it off quickly and avoid burning the motor out, but it's very easy to do this if you're not keeping a close eye on the pump when it gets close to the bottom. The universal hose connector works well, but the instructions could be better – it's not immediately obvious that you have to cut the connector down; i.e. if you want to use the G1 threaded connection you need to remove the first spigot (picture 1). Most garden tap connectors are 3/4", not 1" BSP, so we had to order a new Hozelock adaptor, applying a liberal amount of PTFE tape to get a secure fit (picture 2).It's also worth noting that although the Einhell GC-DP 3730 can be used to pump dirty water with particles (i.e. dirt, stones, etc) up to 30 mm in size, using a G1 Hozelock adaptor reduces the outlet diameter substantially and causes frequent blockages. Unless the water you're pumping is pretty clean a layflat hose would be a better option.Overall, not a bad pump, but for £40-odd quid what more can you expect?

Great value pump
Ordered this to empty a hot tub quickly and did a fantastic job.Ordered a separate attachment so that the garden hose could be attached and worked really well. Was even able to use the water being pumped to jet wash so would definitely recommend!

Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't
Not reliable enough (and very poor flow at 9m)!I had high hopes for this as a replacement for a £40 Aldi one that lasted 9-10 years in my rainwater harvesting tanks (to pump water up to a header tank in the loft when it gets low which is a couple of times a week). It only just scrapes 9m head with a small trickle but that's OK as I don't need it to fill quickly. However after a couple of months it just stopped coming on when my system controller switched the power on. I fished it out to check and there were no obvious problems or blockages. I took the bottom guard off & rotated the impeller - all clear. Put it back in and it started working again for a few weeks then stopped again so there must be a loose connection or blind spot in the magnetic field that turns the impeller.I can't be fishing it out from my ranks under the garden decking every time it doesn't feel like working so it's no better than junk really

Good for the money
I brought this for my hot tub to drain the water as I brought a cheap craft on before and it took forever. This one is so easy to use. I don't know why I didn't think of it first
