GB Eye Contemporary Wooden Black Picture Frame - A1 - 59.4 x 84.1cm

Looks as good as my older expensive glass frames from Habitat, and matches up well. I am really happy with the quality of this frame, which does not have glass (my main requirement, apart from affordability). I like the slightly wider black frame (compared to the skinny Habitat/Ikea ones I have), it does frame the picture and mount very well, looks substantial. I have had two A1 posters with glass which I managed to break while putting the posters in, one because I was a bit clumsy and leant on the glass a tad (the corner of the frame caught it) and one by being a bit too rough putting it up. So, because I am obviously the clumsiest person in the world, I wanted plastic. But nothing horrible or cheap looking that would scratch. These fit the bill because you would have no idea they are plastic - the sheet lies totally flat (I was concerned it might bulge out or wobble, showing its plastic-ness) and is not scratched or damaged looking after I've mounted poster/hung - despite being in hallway and getting the odd knock. Poster - A1 - fitted perfectly, no trimming. The plastic had a film on the outside I peeled off before popping poster in - and the backing was easy to put on, MDF stuff, the normal little metal tabs. The frame has a lovely slight grain to it, which makes it look a bit pricer than it is. As I am hanging myself, I appreciate that it is very very light too - really good when up a ladder. All in all, include in the fact that it arrived the day after ordering (and this was not sent by Prime) very well packaged/protected - and I got it for sixteen quid, it's a total bargain and I will be getting more of these frames in this and over sizes as I decorate/do up my house. Fab.

Great value for money and the perfect size for my posters. The build quality is ok as it is cheaper wood and plastic but cannot complain about the price. Quite lightweight and easy to put a picture in

I bought this to house a poster from the recent Attenborough documentary because I thought it'd look cool in our incredibly bare home office. I was sceptical based on others' reviews but it arrived in perfect condition, and the transparent acrylic sheet is scratch-free. It did feel a little flimsy but it held it's shape when dismantled and feels pretty secure on the wall. I can understand how the fibreboard backing can snap, it feels very thin for such a large frame. We were incredibly cautious when handling it so no damage. The frame itself was well-made. All the corners aligned perfectly and there are no gaps exposing the MDF. The finish is pretty good and looks like real wood. The packaging could do with a re-think. The shorter edges were exposes, which means that the courier needs to be really careful when loading. We must have had a considerate courier as there was no damage. For the price I can't complain. It looks smart and does the job, so I'm happy.

I went to several shops to find a frame for my poster, but they were so expensive and I didn't like the colors. I found this frame on Amazon that was reasonably priced and the quality is great. Initially, I purchased the maxxi size, which was too large for my poster, so I purchased this A1. If you enjoy big posters, I highly recommend it.

Lightweight but the glass is very flimsy.

We needed an exact size with no compromise - having looked at a couple of the out of town stores they were simply not cut to size and generally scratched which was frustrating. We found this frame to the size we wanted, 2 days later it was there thanks to Prime. Superbly packed, easy to fit and complete with hanging fixtures. Looks great !!

I am working on a home cinema room, and am decorating it as cheaply as possible, and had already ordered one of the "Maxi" frames from GB eye, being just what I was looking for. Wanting a poster for my favourite band and finding nothing that I liked, I designed my own and had it printed at A1 size. Being pleased with the other one, I ordered an appropriate frame from them for this little project, and it turned up just as quickly and (happily) undamaged, even though it had to travel across the water to the Isle of Wight! As for the frame, just like a man with five wotsits and a custom-made condom, it fit like a glove! I'm very happy with it, the whole project coming in a £18 for both poster and frame. More will be ordered!

It says A4 size but came as 8x10 with no matting to for the actual a4 picture size. The frame itself is sturdy but has a plastic instead of glass. It's fine but I could have found something local for cheaper as 8x10 and matted it myself, which is what I have to do now anyway.

Un cadre simple mais de qualité tout à fait convenable. L'aspect bois est plutôt bien fait. La vitre est en plexiglas, ne pas oublier d'enlever le film transparent de protection qui est présent de chaque côté. Pas cher et convenable, possibilité d'être accroché ou posé.

Es (que yo haya encontrado) el marco de fotos más barato que te puedes encontrar en Amazon que *sí* tenga plexiglás para proteger, y cubierto por Amazon Prime. Hay similares en Ikea por un euro o dos más barato, pero sigue mereciendo la pena si no puedes ir a un Ikea o no te sale rentable un pedido a domicilio sólo para un marco. Confirmo que sí es tamaño A4, ni más grande ni pequeño. Tiene una pata por si quieres ponerlo encima de una mesa, pero abulta lo suficiente como para que sea probable que, si quieres ponerlo en la pared, tendrías que arrancarlo (no te cargas el contrachapado demasiado y luego se tapa así que ok. Por supuesto tiene los ganchos esos para colgarlos con una alcayata de toda la vida también; tanto vertical como horizontalmente. A pesar de ser el más barato de la web, no se siente cutre. Además, vino con esquinas de plástico para que en el envío no haya choques ahí. Creo que es lo más correcto que le puedes pedir a un objeto tan simple como es un maldito marco.

Cornice molto carina, che non ha assolutamente niente da invidiare a quelle di legno e vetro che si trovano nei negozi fai da te. Venditore eccellente, customer care top!
