Great quality hiking shoes!!!
One of my favourite hiking shoes ever, stylish, waterproof and look quite cool if you ask me!!! Good amount of grip and relatively comfortable too!!! 👍

These are great trainers
I loved the design and comfort they offer, but I won't be purchasing them again. My decision not to buy from Salamon again was because the company is based in France and I prefer to buy goods from the EU and UK where possible. However Salamon charge EU prices but manufacturer in the far east which I find unacceptable.

Great shoe. Grip replacement would make perfect
I really love these shoes. the goretex is great, great for running, very supportive and protective of elements. I found the bottom tread to be bare at points within 3 months and that's the current damage at 6 months. Initially I was thinking it was a poor design but I'm reading that for a runner 6 months is fairly normal to have to replace a shoe so I guess I'm just running a lot more than usual. (25 km a week or so). Would give 5 star if could buy a replacement sole as I feel like it's a waste to chuck out the goretex top which is very well made and still solid. And I feel I could glue on a sole fairly easily myself if one was available to purchase.

Lightweight and strong
Another excellent trail shoe from the ever-reliable Salomon. The grip is great on dry paths, loose gravel and scree - really bites into the ground pushing uphill. Copes well with moderate muddy, softer ground with a stiff sole giving good protection. There isn't a massive amount of cushioning / support - which I like - so not ideal if you're transitioning from really constructed road shoes. Summary: ideal for 3 seasons heavy wear and tear and significant mileage.

Only for misshapen feet.
I have very healthy feet with a healthy arch and instep. Unfortunately, these shoes are much too tight on the bridge of the foot and there is no way of adjusting that. Which means: these running shoes only work for people with flat feet. If you're flat footed: go for it - they look great. For people with healthy feet: stay away from those Salomons. Hope this helps!

I received these in a package that looked like it had been taped together. When I opened the box, the shoes were CLEARLY a return with the tag cut off and scuff marks on the sides and bottom. Also, the shoe made a clicking sound with every step. I contacted Amazon to tell them I was send used shoes & that I shouldn't have to pay full price. Amazon told me to keep the shoes & returned my money. Now, maybe because they were free I decided to abuse them. And abuse I did. I was shocked by the performance, especially after reading some reviews. First, this thing has GRIP. Wow. I've been using Nike Pegasus trail runners for a few years and they're great but the grip is ridiculous, even dangerous. They slip on wet stone. But the Ride 4 has so much grip that I tried to clean them off on the Welcome mat at my home and the shoes got stuck and wouldn't budge. That's how much grip there is. Second, some complain about the lace scheme breaking. I don't even know why anyone needs to tighten these shoes. If you get the right size, once your foot is inside, you shouldn't ever have to tighten them. They're not coming off your feet unless you're a size 10 who HAS TO buy a 12 for some reason. I've put these on and taken them off multiple times without ever needing to tighten up. Third, though this shoe doesn't mention water resistance, it's relatively good at that too. I've run through puddles without my feet getting wet. Fourth, and maybe the most important is the toe space. I've had shoes that were so tight that it caused ridiculous rubbing, causing burns and cuts on my toes. Not these. So much space. Perfect amount. I can practically split my toes apart while wearing this shoe. This may be the best trail runners I've ever owned.

Ottima scarpa come del resto la Salomon mi ha abituato. Adatta a corse anche su percorsi non asfaltati, o addirittura con neve.
