Car music storage, made easy.
, I use this in the car for music, as Fiestas don't come with CD players any more,!! Figured out how to Rip and transfer a CD into an MP3 and then put the album onto this tiny flash drive, (hard work for a fossil like me, lol).. To date, I've put just over 40 CD's on it, and only used maybe 15% of it's capacity,! I leave it in the USB slot, so the music is always ready to play, and it's so unobtrusive, it's barely noticeable... Me being old (62), I can't believe 40 CD's go on something as big as your thumbnail,, (bring back the 8 track),,, anyway,, the main point of this review is to say, this is a superb little gem, holds tons of very high quality music, doesn't even get warm, and takes up no room, so won't get damaged.. I highly recommend it,,,

I bought it thinking it would be good to put Tails on and I did and it ...
Worked flawlessly. I managed to lose it before I managed to break it. It really is as small as it looks in the pics and it has a little loop for attaching it to a keychain or lanyard or whatever (not supplied). I bought it thinking it would be good to put Tails on and I did and it worked fine but I think the Tails website now recommends NOT to use this line of flash drives. I never had any problems with it. Another great use case is if you have a USB port in your car and don’t want a flash drive protruding from your dash or dangerously down by the handbreak. You could also buy it just to hold in your finger tips and marvel at how far we’ve come since the days when this much storage would have taken up a whole room.

Really impressive
This USB stick is small enough to leave permanently plugged into a laptop. After copying just over 1 GB of data to the stick, I used my lip to test for temperature rise, and this was barely detectable. A tiny orange LED flashes when data is being transferred. This USB stick comes with a password-protected vault, so you can save files in both public and secure locations. The stick has a tiny metal loop to which you could tie a label or a thin cord to help prevent the stick from being lost. When the USB stick was first used, a message notified that the pre-loaded security software required updating, and this wasn't difficult to do via a download..

Good - reliable brand, small enough for my keyring
Does its job as expected. No problems at all.[I didn't expect to have any problems. I have several SanDisk drives of one kind or another and they have all been fine.]Bought for use on my keyring so my essential files would be with me at all times** - I used these lanyards to attach it SODIAL(R) 10pcs White Mobile Cell Phone cords Strap Lariat Lanyard Lobster Clasp but see my review of keyring diameter on that page [2mm keyrings fit but not 3mm ones]. I pull the USB out by its lanyard so I don't have the problem with its small head that other customers have mentioned.I wanted a physically-small USB so that my keyring would still fit in the little keyfob pocket of my jeans from where it is unlikely to slip out accidentally.** So, if the worst happened while I was out, I would still have my key files ready to use with a replacement computer straightaway- Outlook 2007/2016 pst file [calendar, phone book, notes, some of my emails]- financial records- insurance records- personalised Word templates- I also use it to keep info that I do not want to leave on the computer itself [in case it is stolen or hacked] such as lists of passwords, software product keys, ...

Great and very discrete. File transfer as expected.
Great for when you want a very small USB drive. I achieved roughly 26MB/s read, 14MB/s write, which is about right if you take into account USB 2.0 limitations (see USB 2.0 on wikipedia).Unlike others, I have no problems removing this from my laptop. I believe Apple devices tend to make USB a bit snug, so maybe this is the reason for other reviewers having problems.Don't rely on any USB for permanent storage unless you use sensible precautions and have at least one other back up of important files. USB is designed for file transfer, not backup. For secure storage delete the Sandisk software and use Veracrypt instead.I would give this 9/10 if I could because the keyring loop is a bit useless even though I won't ever use it.

Car stereo music on a tiny tiny USB
To enable my car stereo to use the built in USB port, I needed a USB stick.I didn't want the usual long USB stick as it would stick out, be in the way, look daft and be another excuse for a smashed window! This fitted the bill, tiny usb form and a good storage capacity for the money. The first arrived, however had a problem being read.Amazon promptly sent a replacement and arranged a "print free" return for me - no problems and stress free. The replacement worked a treat and I can carry my entire Cd collection on something that is no bigger than my thumbnail.Installed it can hardly be seen, with about 3mm extending past the USB slot.A great solution.

Thumbnail Drive
I bought this USB drive to hold music for my car's audio system. It is so small that it is less likely for me to knock it accidentally and damage the drive itself and more importantly the car's USB socket. Also this little device replaces my iPod which was constantly causing sync problems and killing the USB port. Since installing it I have had no further problems. I went for the 32GB version as this is plenty for my use and I have still got bags of room left. Your mileage may differ on this one though. The only two issues I have had is 1) creating playlists - solved by using mp3tag as a playlist generator and 2) Strangely the size of the drive itself when transporting it between computer and car (it just gets lost in pockets, etc) - solved by keeping it in a medium sized resealable plastic bag.

Tiny usb drive
I've bought many of these drives over the years (in varying capacities), I've never had any fault with SanDisk drives. These specific drives used to come with little 'caps' that covered the USB port when not in use, but no longer do. This isn't an omission I really care about, as I use these specifically to plug in and forget. They are great when you want something unobtrusive that stays put most of the time. I have one in an aftermarket car stereo, where the USB port is on the front of the unit; I have another in a TV (it is used for recording) and another as a music source in a Bluetooth speaker.
