Q: What type of wood is the handle made of?

Not sure of the actual tree name, but the wood is light color, unfinished, slightly rough in texture

I don't know the dimensions. The description says 4.8"×6.3". I do know that you can fit all of the utensils and arrange them nicely.

Q: How is the quality of this set? and what is the size? i just got some from calphalon for $11 each. that sounds like a rip off if i compare the price..

Set is good quality. Problems: too many of them - I prefer to "keep it simple," but a more professional cook my need them all. Second item is they all really don't fit in the container provided. Easy to resolve, remove all the ones you won't ever use!
