Likely smaller than what you're thinking.
The sizing / capacity is PRECISE, which means it's likely SMALLER than what you're thinking. I think this difference comes from cultural differences. I bought a 2 liter version, which should translate to 2.11 quarts (US), but it is actually SMALLER than my Duxtop and Zwilling J.A.Henckels 2 quart saucepans. I measured the capacity using weight difference between empty and full of water, and it's more or less as advertised, which is 2 liters when filled to the brims! Obviously, not all of that "capacity" is usable. I wouldn't even be able to put the lid on without spilling a lot of that water. My 2 quart saucepans could hold 2 quarts of water and still have some room to spare, meaning, I could actually cook 2 quarts worth of food in them in a pinch. I'd say this 2 liter Hawkins has _usable capacity_ closer to US 1.6 quart saucepans. The pressure regulation behavior is also unusual, to me anyway. With all other pressure cookers I've ever owned, the weight will continuously move around, maintaining pressure by continuously relieving pressure by small amount. Hawkins' weight will instead relieve pressure in bursts, once in a while. The manual says you want that duration to be about once every 15 seconds to a couple of minutes or so. Too often means the heat is too high, and too far apart means the heat is too low to maintain pressure. These quirks aside, I think I can work with it. I'm actually kind of fond of the lid design. The slightly sharp inner edges of the pan bothers me a little, but I'll just have to be careful when washing it. Photo: Left: Duxtop 2 quart saucepan, Right: Hawkins 2 Liter Pressure Cooker.

Me encanta..

great buy
got this pot for my camper, it works fine, I advice to get extra rubber seal, the one in the pot seems delicate and it come out easy, but a great thing for the camper, I can cook things very fast and tastes good

Fun cooking experience
Love cooking with this pressure cooker. Cuts down cooking time in half. Safe, but keep eye on valve to make sure it stays intact, Don't let it overheat and always make sure to have enough water before sealing.. NOT for dry cooking
