Burt's Bees 100% Natural Nourishing Mascara, Black Brown - 0.4 Ounce

I am switching to all natural products. I know burt's bees is not the *absolute cleanest* in terms of ingredients but this mascara is not as bad as some of their other products and is what I can currently afford. I previously tried a natural mineral makeup brand mascara carried by wholefoods, reccommended by the staff as not flaking (which is a common problem with natural formulas). It did, and at $17 too.It is difficult to find brown mascara anymore so I like that they offer it. It goes on really well, much better than the chemical-laden stuff like great lash. I don't have to scrape the brush on the edge to get the extra off before applying with this at all. No product waste, bonus. Alot comes out on the brush but it is completely manageable with a light touch. The brush part is bendy so scraping it would be impossible to do. Not sure why, it is not positionable or anything, just springy-bendy. But it works well. Really better than anything else ever tried. With this mascara I can do one pass, no clumps whatsoever and then add a little to the ends for extra oomph if I want it. So you can do 'enhanced natural' or go dramatic with this. No flakes, no smudging after a long day. And the tube is big so will probably last. There are some other highly rated natural mascaras out there but for the prices you would think the stuff is gold. This is a great alternative.

This is my favorite mascara. I absolutely love it! Gentle to my lashes, and yet makes them look fabulous. HOWEVER, be careful when you buy it!! I have been using this brand for years, but my local store was out of it, so I bought it from Amazon. It was marked down to a crazy-low price, which should have given me a clue something was wrong. It was clumpy, not smooth and creamy like it always is. My guess is that it was old product that got marked down to sell quickly. I tried it anyway, and dried pieces flaked off, got in my eye, and I need to have it "irrigated" to get it out and relieve the pain. Never again will I trust mascara that has been marked down. And if you ever have "clumpy" mascara --- don't use it! Toss it out, no matter how much you spent on it!

I’m a blonde and it’s really hard to find brown mascara. I’m not a big fan of brown/black or just plain old black mascara. This goes on easily and washes off easily as well. It also gives you a nice natural look. It will smudge if you tear up, just so’s you know.

I need all natural which this is ! It’s not water proof! It goes on well and doesn’t cause irritation!!!

This product is clearly different from mascaras that give you stiff breakable spider lashes. This one goes on easily, with a super flexible applicator. Your eyes will look FABULOUS..... Until you wipe them or touch anything or cry or the slightest thing happens..... This is a NATURAL mascara so keep it in mind. Also it's super easy to wash off and if you accidentally sleep in it, you will look like a raccoon or it will completely disappear from your face, results vary.Anyway, I love it because it's natural and makes my eyes look great and it's easy to wash off and my lashes don't get stiff.

When i first wore this mascara, I liked the coverage, you can build it up for a full look. I cried with it on and it burned my eyes. No one plans typically to cry, but I was surprised at how much it burned. I know it's not waterproof, but I took note and continued to test it. Next I noticed it clumps on the wind, so I made an effort to pump the wand extra while applying, like mixing the formula. Ok, well I've never had to do that with others, but I'm still testing it. On two separate days I'm messing with my eyes because there is something in them, mascara. It's flaking and falling off into my eyes. I got home from work last night and took off all makeup at 5 pm. My husband asked if I was ok. Yes, just my eyes hurting from makeup. So my test is over and I'm out. Not opening the second tube, it was a two pack purchase, so I'm just out and having to find something else.

I got this mascara to wear on my eyes but I don't like the heavy unnatural ingredients in so many of the mascaras. This mascara by Burt's bees didn't disappoint. It was smooth going on did not clump beautiful color, it did not run. I will buy this often highly recommend.

Goes on amazing, not clumpy at all. Does not irritate my sensitive eyes. And it washes off easily so I dont need to pull the skin on my face. I will absolutely buy again
