I ordered these AquaEasy filters as backups for my AquaEasy filtration system, and they are an exact match for the filters that came with the system. I haven't changed them out yet, because after three months of daily use, the original filters show no sign of clogging.Two filters come bubble-wrapped in the box, along with one charging washer. If you haven't gone through the charging process before, it's a matter of putting a thick, soft washer on the rod on top of the filter, then pressing it up against a tap while trying to force water to run through it. It takes a few minutes to get each filter primed, and it can be a challenge! The first time I did it, I sprayed water all over the kitchen, but then I realized I could make a tent out of a large plastic bag to contain the spray.Any extra effort during the priming process is well worth it, because the filtered water tastes great! It's almost equal to the mountain well water I grew up drinking, an amazing result considering how smelly my city water is before filtering. This water, served ice cold in a stainless steel bottle, is a real treat. My pets love it too, which makes me happy because my dog has a medical condition that requires a low-copper diet. It's nice to find an affordable way to get most of the copper out of her water.The filters are carbon, with plastic fittings that are strong enough for the task. They appear to have carbon dust on them when unwrapped, but it rinses off easily during the charging process. Time to filter a batch is about five minutes.

These are a good price for the Charcoal filters and they fit my big Berkey perfectly. It comes with 2 as well as the gaskets to fit them. Priming was not an issue, just soaked them and ran a few cycles of water through. They work well enough, I wasn't able to confirm with the Dye test, but I feel its better than drinking strait tap water. No weird aftertaste and 2 weeks in and its still working just fine. Slow filtration and clean tasting water.

Fits my aqua easy gravity fed water filter system. These filters DO NOT clog! They are easy to use and easy to install. Great tasting water each and every cup. Lasts up to 2000 gallons each. We are not an off grid home, just very conscious of all things. We keep this set up on the countertop and have not looked back. The water tastes great!

We are less than 6 months using these filters, and our water taste terrible. I clean my Berkey monthly and have primed the filters twice now. Try a different brand.

These AquaEasy filter candles are fully compatible with our Big Berkey and Berkey Light water filter systems, and we can definitely tell the difference in taste and purity between our unfiltered and filtered tap water using the AquaEasy filter elements; however, they filter water at a noticeably slower rate than the original Black Berkey filters, which are no longer available. Although there are less expensive alternatives available, the AquaEasy filter candles strike a pleasing balance between function and affordability.

Edit: company gave a refund and offered to send me a replacement.Could not even remove red food color. Even after multiple fills the water was still coming out pink and was still leaving charcoal in the water. The water was also coming out of the filter like a faucet, there is no way it was filtering through that quickly. Would return if I could but I didn't test them while it was still in the return window.
