It's like the subscription boxes for tinkers with more ideas and household items. As long as you don't mind gathering supplies this book is a solid addition to an engineering child's resources.

I liked the howtoons feature in Make magazine, so when I saw this book I purchased it for my 12 years old daughter. She loves it!It is fun to browse and I am sure it will provide several fun and intellectually active afternoons.

This is such a great book. We checked it out at the library and now my 8yo has put them all on his Christmas list.

my 7 year old daughter is a bit of a geek inventer and just loves this series of books. You can see the brain thinking when she reads this - excellent.
