ARTFLY Glow in The Dark Paint Set of 12 Bright Colors 30ml/1oz, Acrylic Glow Paint Perfect for Art Painting, DIY Projects, Halloween and Christmas Decorations, Rich Pigments

Glow in the dark paint has always been a bit of a finicky substance to work with however these have truly been impressive. I'm a pyrography artist and wanted to create a special image for my daughter of Jinx her favourite character from one of her favourite shows but wanted her to enjoy it at any time day and night. These paints may need a few applications as their viscosity is quite thin however as you can see in the test image I done they truly work.. I applied them on top of an acrylic base colour and they work I did boost the UV with a black light for the picture. As with most UV takes time to really pop in the dark. However the box comes with a variety of colours and you only need to squirt a small amount out of the bottle as a little goes a long way. The bottles are reasonable size and come with extra nozzles in case of blockages which with a gentle bit of work easily come off to be changed. Simple to apply with a brush I used a nice fine haired brush and a fine tip model painting brush for the eye. The colours aren't strong on paper hence the base colours but the effect is excellent, and for an affordable price. Great for any inspired artist or miniature painted who wants an exciting extra edge on their miniatures

The product works really well. Just to note one of the paints was really clumpy but all you need to do is shake and mix it to get it to go normal again. I love the yellow-blue shades but the pink ones were a bit disappointing when glowing.

These are average paints that require a number of layers to achieve any effect. The bottles must be properly shared prior to use to create a mix as they separate out quite quickly. They’re not the easiest to apply and some patience is necessary as multiple layers are needed to get the greatest ‘glow’ effects. Once dried they have a spongey texture to them so create a reasonable 3D effect. Whilst they do glow in the dark there is big difference in intensities from different colours and neither last more than a few minutes. They service a function for a short, gimmicky effect but that’s all. Fun for kids if they’re wanting to play at creating art on stones etc and then shining a torch on them to make them glow for a bit in the dark. Overall my opinion on the value for money depends on what you want them for. If it’s to keep someone amused for a bit and see a little effect with glowing paints, that’s fine but if you’re wanting something with a substantial and glow with a long duration then these are not the paints to use.

Very good quality

I had bought these for a party of light we were having in church instead of trick-or-treating. The youngsters were so excited to be able to use these paints until we turned all the lights out and found there was no glow. Very disappointing.

easy to use

This is in general a good product but a few of the paint bottles seem to have “gone off” or had issues in storage that have turned them to jelly. Have tried to dilute them but with no success so they are unusable. Would like the seller to contact me (where is the contact button these days Amazon?) as I don’t want to return without discussing as we used a fair bit of the other paints before discovering this.
