Excellent sight picture, quick to acquire but, fine enough for accurate placement
Excellent sight picture, quick to acquire but, fine enough for accurate placement:I was putting holes into holes with my 6.8 AR after zeroing the sight at 25M. Perfect for those who's eyes have aged out of iron sights, for ex-Army/Marines with ordinary MOS's who took pride in their shooting, [not sniper wannabees], this is better than a red-dot, it'll work without batteries, allows you to accurately place shots with both eyes open, having a diopter means a clear focused sight picture and...the price is right at, all in, 80 bucks. The bang for the buck is outstanding.I know, it's hard to leave iron sights behind, would I like the eyes of my youth...yeah sure but, if you can't see a clear post, your shot placement will suffer and so will you! If only technology could help the rest of my body like this scope does my eyes.

Monstrum keeps doing it
These low priced Monstrum optics keep on impressing me. Have multiple on the lower caliber options and decided to try one on my 7.62x39. It held zero after 140 or so rounds after putting in zero. Glass is clear, but the eye ref is low. Will need to have optic pretty close to the eye. Other then that, for the price I don’t think you can go wrong.

Fantastic budget prism
Have this on my bb blaster for airsporting purposes. Acceptable clarity, generous eye relief, and decent eyebox. I bought a budget LPVO here on Amazon that was utter garbage and I just found its replacement. I would not put this on a defensive rifle, but range toys and air rifles are a go. The included scope mount has a solid lockup on my picatinny rail and the screws did not strip, worth mentioning I just tightened them enough to hear a bit of squeaking when given 1/4 turn then stopped. The only negatives worth noting are the reticle and reticle illumination. I'm just not a fan of the square style and overall size but I'll get used to it. The illumination is nowhere near daylight bright and has a bit of fading towards the upper right side of the reticle. Overall for 80 big ones I am extremely pleased with the quality of this thing and it will fit my purposes beautifully. Scope adjustments are made in 1 click, 1/2 MOA adjustments on a tool less knob. I have yet to bang this thing around a bit and will update this review if I experience any sort of obvious failure. It will be difficult to notice zero shifting issues since I will have to re-zero this thing before every bbwarz match due to weather, wind, and bb weight. 4/5 star rating for now.

Solid built
Solid scope and clear. It is a little picky with your eye location for full view. Retical is very fine and a little hard to see in shadows but the lighted function is excellent.

Actual magnefication is 2x; Quality issues; Could be a good scope if there is no "haze"
review on a Monstrum 3x30 stealth compact scope(update: returned the first one and received the replacement. Same "haze" problem in the reticle plate. And strangely the illumination LED's location is different from the first one, and not as bright. The "haze" problem prevents the scope being useful in low light. As soon as the illumination is turned on (even at the lowest settings), it will illuminate the "haze" and create a kind of milky-way effect.I will send the scope back and ask for a refund.)purchase price (off amazon) was $64 after using the coupon. At that time monstrum's web site had the 4x30 version on sale at $49 + $7 (shipping)=$56, a little cheaper; but I like lower power on compact scopes so I bought the 3x from amazon. which turned out to be a good decision, as this scope has quality issue and I will return it.*** came with front/rear flip-up lens caps; lens cloth; torx and hex allen key; and a compact cantilever mount.Battery was already installed and ready to use (not sure if that suggests this was a used item, but the paint/finish looked new)*** the included mount is very sturdy-looking but a bit high, ~1" from top of pic rail to bottom of scope's main tube.*** somewhat of a compact scope (not as short as the T-eagle 2x28mm I bought recently. See photos for details. The shorter/fatter scope is the T-eagle).!!!! Actual magnification is 2x, which is not a problem for me, I like lower power for hunting purpose.*** eye relief/ eye box is very forgiving, anywhere from ~4.5" to 6.5" will give usable image, I really like that.*** The reticle is nice and very usable for drop compensation (air gun, 22LR etc).!!!! but this reticle is visible from either direction, i.e. you can see the exact same thing when looking into the front (objective) lens. see photo. Probably not a problem if hunting using low red setting.*** image quality is pretty good considering the price.*** click adjustment is marked 1/2 moa (instead of the 1/4 moa shown on Monstrum's web site). so, which is the right #? maybe neither?(The spec #'s on these ultra-cheap scopes are all over the place. For example, the eye relief: monstrum's site was showing "up to 6inch " not that long ago, but now changed to "up to 4.5"; amazon still shows "up to 6inch "; while my actual measurement from this sample is 4.5"~6.5", so the old # was more correct. Maybe the factory just changed the design to use whatever component they have at hand)quality issues:1) glue/grease seam around the front lens doesn't inspire confidence in build quality.2) the etched reticle element has some kind of contamination/smear/"haze", noticeable at full illumination. see photo.on the other hand, it is entirely possible that " super cheap" scopes were actually factory rejects at the final QC inspection. (one example being those well-made fakeACOG somehow ALL have canted reticles.... how can it be so consistent? ). Instead of trashing the reject units, the factory just laser print on a random brand logo and dump it at a ridiculously low price.Or the factory use reject components to put together lower-spec scopes so to not "waste any usable parts". These things were marketed for airSoft purpose so the standard can become very flexible. The "smear" on the element could easily be from a failed etching process.I like this scope a lot. if the "haze" problem weren't there, it would be a great scope for short range hunting. I will return this one for an exchange and see if the replacement is better.
