My old controller broke and I ordered this one to replace it. Installation was straight forward, works great and feels awesome.

There's a reason I've purchased three of these. They're reliable and smooth. While not top-of-the-line Sanwas, they're more than enough for most users. Installation is a breeze - although you may have to top- mount them if using a thick wood panel. And the restrictors are easy to remove and rotate. I even added a GRS mechanical restrictor on mine with little trouble.Keep in mind that if you're using one of the encoders off here, you may want to pick up some of the five pin cables with headers on both ends. Otherwise, you can use the included cable and crimp on some quick disconnects.I will be buying more of these in the future for new projects.

I bought an inexpensive joystick to play Street Fighter, but I wanted an octagon gate so I switched it and a few other parts took about 30 minutes and the joystick works really well.

I needed to replace the stick for my 8bitdo Arcade so that I could alternate between 4 way and 8 way. Delivery was quick and installation was a breeze. It fit perfectly.

My Dragon Fight stick gets used a lot. I replace the joystick 1-2 times a year. I probably could replace the individual components, but for the low price and ease of installation, I just replace the whole thing. I have never had a problem with it working. And the new joystick feels really nice for ~6-8 months. Then, there is wear on the plastic internal parts. Not a lot, but enough to notice while playing tournament rounds. It can make the difference between winning and losing, so I replace it out at that time.

It didn't come with a 5-pin harness, partly my fault for not looking at it more carefully.

Replacing joystick on a Rampage / Defender cab, this is just like the old. I have to solder it in, but its an easy job. Works well.
