Quality pens at a good price
Having purchased bright red Christmas cards with gold print and darker red envelopes, I wanted ink to match so I tried these Qionew Gold Gel Pens. With a 1mm tip, the ink flowed freely with good coverage and a rich metallic color, though I noticed a few letters that looked yellower, without as much of the metallic tint. I wrote messages in 40 cards and addressed 40 envelopes and am still using the first pen. The ink level has dropped noticeably but should last a good while longer. Two warnings: First, the ink goes on smooth and beautiful but it requires a minute or so to dry before being disturbed. It looks great and withstands a dry touch after drying. Second, please note that the manufacturer recommends capping the pens immediately when not in use and storing them lying down rather than standing up to avoid drying them out. If you follow these recommendations, I think you'll like these pens as much as I do. Update: December 2025—I started using the first pen for the third Christmas season last week and found that the saturation and color have degraded despite proper storage and a vigorous shake (which wasn’t recommended but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try). Therefore, the first pen was retired and I opened the second and found it good to go despite the lengthy storage, with excellent color and coverage, just like the first one two years ago. Again, highly recommended.

Great for Addressing Dark Color Envelopes
I bought these for addressing Christmas cards with dark envelopes. They work very well & write smoothly. It really helped my handwriting look nice even! There is a little smearing that can happen, but the ink dries quickly so if you just give it a minute, it's generally not a problem. As the box states, you do need to store these flat or the ink will not come out smoothly. Otherwise, great product - I wish they made other colors!

Nice gel pens!
I bought these pens to use on my watercolors and acrylic paints. I am taking an online class that uses these types of pens, and this is the set that I decided on. The pen ink surpisingly went on the dried paint rather well. It does have a nice metalic sheen to it when it is dry. The thickness of the lines are exactly what I was looking for. These are not the cheapest pens, but you do want to have a product you can count on.the pictures show the white and black pen used. A good pen is ALWAYS worth spending money on.

Great pens, but…
I really like the ink in these pens; however, they sometimes skip on certain finishes.

Writes like a pen!
Used these for labeling new pantry storage containers. Black labels and these pens really showed up on the black background. Very easy to write with. Would recommend for any craft that you would have to write or draw on a dark surface.

very good product
These pens are fantastic for holiday cards and scrapbooking. The gold is a true metallic—not too yellow—and the 1mm tip makes it easy to write clearly. They don't skip or clump, which is a huge plus for gel pens at this price point. Will definitely be buying these again once I run out.

You have to go over lines over and over to get a line. Very messy, the pen scratches the ink off of you go over it, which you have to because the flow is intermittent. Looks like a lot of good reviews for the gold pens but the white ones are a waste of time and money.
