This book is a good comprehensive overview for myself.. I love this whole series. I hope it provides a good foundation for my child to understand anatomical systems.

I was searching for a book that can explain diabetes to my friend’s daughter, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 7-years-old, and came across this book. She absolutely loved reading this! She was excited to see what the pancreas looks like and learn about the role of insulin in regulating her blood sugar levels. She also enjoyed learning about other endocrine glands and hormones in the body. My wife and I are very impressed with this book!

I can’t speak highly enough about these books. I tell everyone about them!!!! They need to be on every bookshelf.

The Endocrinology for Kids book is extremely well written and comprehensive. The book first introduces different glands that produce hormones, then describes the functions of these hormones and diseases that occur if the hormones don’t work properly. The book also introduces insulin and explains the cause of diabetes in a clear way. My nephew loves this book so much that he says he wants to be an endocrinologist when he grows up. I would recommend this book to any child interested in the medical field or who wants to learn more about diabetes.

I love medical books for my 4 year old (husband and I are both in the medical field) because although he may not absorb everything, just introducing him with medical terminology will definitely help with his learning in the future. I’ve also learned a lot reading this book!

I ordered this for one of our endocrine doctors who was having a baby. It came paperback, like it was printed on a regular printer with card stock. Would have imagined something a bit nicer for how expensive and niche it is.
