The only Double-E here is the sizing train wreck
UPDATE 3 and Final:After 1-1/2 months solid worn every day 8-12 hours, the boots have exceeded my initial opinion by a lobg shot. Getting in and out is no longer an issue, there is very little side pressure on my feet even at the end of the day, no overtightness or too much room either. A very good boot. They wear well also. I haven't tested them by submersion but I work in the water process industry and work in very wet conditions and the boots are dry. (I also spray all my work boots with Boeshield so that may be a factor as well). Up to 5 stars now.I was wrong, just give them time. Good job Irish Setter.UPDATE 2:They are breaking in nicely and seem quite comfortable, though I havent spent 8-12 hours in them yet. Sizing is still a bit off, that "XX-Wide" is no better than a normal width "E". Added a star to four.UPDATE:After much talcum powder and 3-4 steady days in these boots, they have become easier to get into/out of. They are also becoming less restrictive in the width. I haven't had a chance to test their water-proofness yet but I hace sprayed them down with Boeshild with no ill effect. More stars added for the decent break-in.I currently have 2 pairs of the older versions of I.S. Two Harbors pull-ons, size 12D, which I keep at different locations. As of late, because of my age the Two Harbors are becoming difficult to pull on and the toe box is a now a little resrictive.I wanted the same boot in a wider size but the Two Harbor XX-wide size 12 were sold out. Instead I was able to get this Kasota boa constrictor in size 12 XX-wide and decided to guve them a shot.Nice looking boot, I'm sure it's well made BUT-It us more difficult to get my feet into them than the pull-on Two Harbors, and they are much more constrictive in the width than my Two Harbors 12D size. Maybe they're extra wide in Chiner or Vietnam but for a 6- foot American male they are no wider than a standard size shoe, no BS.I had these shipped to a remote locale so return is not an option, maybe I can ge some use out of them with thinner socks. I reordered the Two Harbors but in a larger size 13, I'll update when I see how those fit.Irish Setters, get your sizing act together.

Great pair of boots
I don’t know why but every expensive pair of boots I’ve bought including these boots come with the most uncomfortable insoles. But after changing them out with timberland anti-fatigue insoles they are now the most comfortable boots I’ve owned.

Absolutely worth the price.
Firstly these boots are some of the most comfortable I've ever owned as they kept my feet dry and warm. I also had ZERO issues with the boa lace system, they worked every single time without fail. They fit perfectly and were the best combination of weight and strength. After being worked hard in the towing industryfor 14 months of 12-14 hour shifts 6 days a week they held up extraordinarily well. A 5 star boot indeed.

Great boot, usually…
My first pair of these were great! The BOA system is really nice if your boots get super dirty like mine. You don’t have dirty gross laces to mess with at the end of the day. The slip resistant soles work really well, and they are anti-puncture (very important at my last job where I walked on sharp objects a lot). They lasted about a year, with heavy use every day in all types of weather. This second pair however, only lasted a few weeks. The BOA cable got routed incorrectly during assembly, causing the boot to tear, and ultimately, the cable to snap. Lucky, returns with Amazon are easy. I’ll be ordering the same boot again, but this time I will check them out more closely once they arrive, before I wear them.

Don’t waste your money!
These are the most uncomfortable pair of boots I have ever worn. After trying multiple sizes on I found a size that fit comfortably. After about a week of wearing them my big right toe would begin to go numb during the day. The composite toe would rub against it making it painful to wear them for to long. I had to put a pad in the shoe to protect my toe but the damage has already been done. I’ve continued to wear them for over a year since they had gotten dirty and I couldn’t return them. The durability had been okay and the boa lace is nice both other than that these boots are crap.

So nice
I bought these for my dad and he loved them. They as such good quality and are honestly worth the money. They are durable but not too heavy. They fit comfortably and are honestly the best shoes for blue collar workers

Comfortable right out of the box
Ordered the 6” Kasota boots. Liked them so much I ordered the 8” insulated 400 gram ones. I wear heavy winter wool socks , so I ordered a 1/2 size larger in double wide and my feet aren’t cramped and stay warm. I’ve had several Boa lace boots prior to getting the Irish Setters, and love this lace system. Composite toe and Waterproof are several of the other features which I find important.Hopefully Irish Setter will keep this model for years to come!

Didn't even last a full year
They were good for the 9months they lasted i guess.
