Turbo Heat Shield Turbocharger Blanket Wrap Spring for Subaru WRX Titanium

My Forester xt was missing the factory turbo heat shield and there was constant heat soak. This heat shield "blanket" reduced the radiant heat and is noticeable after a drive when compared to the turbo in the open. Whether this reduces the amount of conductive heat is unknown. I would most certainly buy it again.

Purchased this to replace a more expensive name brand turbo heat shield. This one seemed to be of better quality and slightly thicker than what I was replacing.

The weave and stitching on this is top notch. It's easy to manipulate and forms well. Installing a turbo blanket in a WRX is rough work and requires a lot of wiggling if you're doing it while the turbo is on the car so I appreciate the relatively straightness that lets you slide it around easily. I also love that they include wire and springs, usually you only get a small bit of wire.

I had an older heat shield blanket that looks just like this one but it was much lower quality. The stitching on the edges came apart almost immediately after installing it. This one is built a lot better. This is easy to install, and a good alternative to the factory heat shield if you need to remove it due to an aftermarket downpipe.No issues at all, perfect fit and can be removed if needed. Comes with the springs to connect it at the bottom as well as some steel wire which may or may not be needed depending on which turbo you have.
