Bought this SSD to use with new Mac mini M4 for moving the home folders to this. Tried with the 2TB SSD first which works well as does this. I am going to load it up to check how well it works. Doing this after my HDD failed after a side fall, a Seagate 16TB Expansion drive. Will post a follow up review about 6 months later to share the user experience. After initialising the drive it seems to work well and give me a speed higher than the native drive.

This is definitely the go-to choice for increasing storage on the PS5. Offers the exact same specs as the pricier PlayStation licensed SN850P, just without the PS branding. Installation and setup is a breeze as well. It is not the cheapest of the options available but after a year of using it, it runs games at speeds identical to those installed on the PS5’s own SSD with no issues whatsoever and I have no regrets.

recently ordered the WD SN850X 4TB NVMe for my PS5. The unboxing and installation went perfectly, and the drive was detected without any issues. After setting it up, I copied several games from my PS5’s internal storage to the new SSD, and initially everything seemed fine. However, during extended gaming sessions—especially while playing The Last of Us Part II—the SSD started heating up very quickly. After some time, my PS5 suddenly restarted on its own. Following that restart, the console was no longer able to detect the NVMe drive at all. I decided to request a replacement, but there wasn’t an option available for that, so I had to return it instead. The return was picked up today (October 15), and I’m now waiting for my refund. Overall, the performance was great while it worked, but overheating and reliability issues made it a disappointing experience for me.

Excellent ssd, delivers what it promises. Been using it for windows and games. Boot time is almost instant, games load up fast af, transfer speeds are goated as well. Still at 100% health after 15 months. So yea I will 100% recommend going for this. 1 TB is definetly a life saver for me :)

Best SSD for ps5

I use it in ps5 works well you won't be able to tell the difference between this and the native ssd on the playstation. You can get it around 14 thousand during the sale with card offers.

I had studied a lot options and this was top choice for obvious reasons. The metrics and performance are as described and this is obviously better than the version officially recommended for PS5. Take this and you'll always smile 😍
