Good Product
I purchased my mini cooper clubman a few weeks ago. Living in Las Vegas, it is imperative to have dark tints. The summer has not even hit yet and I could already feel the burn of the sun coming through the panoramic sunroof on some days. These shades offer the perfect solution for this problem. They fit the sunroof windows perfectly. I'm able to pop them on and off with the same ease of installing a window shade. I'm very happy with this product.

Key to a cooler interior
Fits well, stays in place, blocks the sun. It was fairly easy to align, just have to make sure you get it lined up evenly so the material is not longer on one side or the other. The front sunroof still tilts and slides with the shade in place, the rear glass still tilts with its shade in place. It definitely keeps the interior cooler!

Will keep out the heat but don't open the sunroof with it in place.
They fit the car well. They definitely keep the car much cooler in the summer. They factory shades do still close. It says you can still fully open the sunroof without removing them. That isn't quite true. We tried it and it got hung up in the tracks and bent one of the shades. We could tilt the sunroof open but had to pull the shade out of the way to close it. Removing the shades is a little difficult as it is hard to get around the shade to the suction cup. It most often pulls the shade off the suction cup to get the shade off. Once you can get to the suction cup it comes down easily. They look smooth when in place especially if the factory shade is closed. My husband will remove these as the days cool off more. He won't use the sunroof while they are in place as it is too much trouble. They are the same type shade that people use in their windshields. They are truly cut to fit the mini with a little excess flap to tuck under the edges of the sunroof frame.

ZippeeShade Sunroof Shade
I originally saw this on an online forum several months ago. I've been considering buying the shades for awhile, and am happy I did. It works perfectly to block out sunlight from the moon roofs in the MINI. Reading through the directions and FAQs help. When I first received the package, the 2 shades were very wrinkled and the suction cups used to attach the sunshades to the roof were deformed and useless. For the wrinkles, the manufacturer recommends ironing it. I decided to just let them sit out overnight. This helped air out the plastic smell they had and get rid of some of the wrinkles. I could tolerate the look of a few wrinkles. Once installed, it's covered by the mesh OEM sliding moon roof covers, to the point you can't see the shades' details. Also, the sun will "iron out" the rest. For the suction cups, the manufacturer recommends to drop them in boiling water for about 10 minutes. This worked like a charm! I've only installed the rear shade so far. Once summer hits, I'll install the front one, too. It blocks sunlight and works great. Highly recommended!

Simple and effective
This is a very simple shade, with a silver-ish reflective finish on one side and a flat black surface on the other. Four large suction cups affix the shade to the MINI's sunroof. Around the perimeter of the shade is loose fabric which fits between the glass and the mechanism that raises and lowers the sunroof. I found it very easy to position the shade and the loose fabric to eliminate any light leakage. I can raise and lower the sunroof without the shade interfering or causing any weirdness whatsoever with the mechanism. This is constructed of perfectly appropriate material and seems well made. The suction cups might be deformed due to being crammed into a tight package during shipping, but a few days in Arizona sun fixed that. If you live in a more reasonable climate, the manufacturer suggests boiling the cups for a few minutes to restore proper shape. I am very satisfied with this purchase. It's a good value for the money. FOLLOW-UP 2014-04-22: Still loving the shade. It is holding up well and does the job. I have fully opened and closed the sunroof while driving at 45 mph and the shade stays in place with no problems, and doesn't hang up on any of the machinery. The only slight glitch has been that one of the suction cups didn't want to stay attached to the glass. I fixed this by thoroughly cleaning the cup (which is easily removable) and the glass, and now the cup stays attached. This is a fine shade, and I'm very happy with the purchase.

GREAT IN THEORY, MEDIOCRE EXECUTION
I do like the fact that these shades are able to stay on while operating the panoramic roof. Mini Coopers are known for horribly cheap sunshades that break, and this serves as a cost effective replacement. Be advised however, these shades are no better than the $10 set you can buy and the suction cups do not work well. Even when I keep the roof closed two of the cups do not stay attached for more than 12 hours, and I did clean the glass before install. The shades themselves are pretty flimsy due to the fact that they fold up. All in all not worth what I paid for them.

Cooper Cave!
Awesome on these 85-100degree midwestern days! Can use with or without the suction cups, fabric tucks nicely into sunroof edges and completely blocks out light and heat, inserts EASY! keeps it cool and dark, like a little Mini Cooper cave :)

Over priced for the $$$ - expected better quality and better fit
It covers the moon roof as advertised but for the money, it feels cheaply made. Paid almost $50 but probably cost about $2 to make. It it was $9.99 or even $15.99 then it's fair price, NOT $48.99. It's same material as a cheap umbrella and it does not fit my 07 Mini as well as I like.
